Hey all, just added a Mars hydro 4 inch inline fan and when I set it to 4 or higher it makes the tent balloon with positive pressure. I’m fairly certain I’ve set it up correctly but can’t seem to work out what’s causing the positive pressure in the tent. Pics attached!

You're talking about the fan hanging at the top there or is there another fan somewhere that I can see? If that's the only fan, and you're getting positive pressure, then you probably have it turned around so it's pulling in through the duct and blowing out of the filter. You also want to shorten that duct and preferably run it out the hole in the top of the tent

Yup what JP1 said make sure you have the flow correct the arrow should be point away from the carbon filter the way you have it setup and try to reduce the length and amount of bends in the vent hose.. Unless you have another intake fan that we can't see the only thing i can think of is you have pushing air into the filter rather then pulling air into the filter

Is it a huge issue if the tent gets sucked in? I’ve read most people don’t think it’s a problem?

Only if it's pressing on your plants or equipment. If you tend to pack your space completely full you may want some bracing. I usually use it as a sign I need to open more intakes. I also have an active intake with a speed controlled fan I can adjust as well. Fancy bit of kit I made.

I’m fortunate to not have to worry about the smell and I didn’t have to buy a filter so I’m just curious if it needs to be inside the tent as an intake or could it be outside the tent as an out take? Isn’t it going to limit your light height?
