so im sat lookin at ordering growing medium, am I gonna roll the dice into the unknown and order some canna coco and canna coc a and b nutes ?
or should I stick to tried and tested and take another roll In the dirt ? the seedlings have been set off in a bit of regular compost I had laying round, would it be ok to then transplant them into 15l airpots of coco ? or once in soil stick to soil ?

i like coco myself its pretty easy to learn cal mag is your friend with a telos and coco but try get a calmag that has a low nitrogen content canna has around 4% which seems to be the norm with most brands vitalink does a good one with only 1.6% nitrogen its what iv been using
you can use a normal calmag you will just have to cut back on the A bottle
if your in the uk or Europe check out shogun fertilizers that what im moving too now seen very good results from them they where doing a full tester kit for around 70 pounds enough to test out on a round of coco bit cheaper than what you will need with canna nutes there coco is solid i use nothing else do some goggling see what you think

So dropping my tiny seedings into coco that’s started in dirt won’t be a problem ?
I have always being a fan of canna dirt , but last time out I used old timer organic nutes veg and flower.
I am all down for trying new things What’s worse that can happen ?!,!,!?! I kill em lol

so what coco to go for ? And what nutes !? IF I can find a online shop that’s still working while dodging covid 19 lol

yeh seedlings from soil into coco will be fine
id stick with canna there coco its good stuff if you can get shogun id say try that if not canna will do the job just fine just make sure you get all the additives that you need sweeteners pk boosters and calmag ph up and down may be needed to get the ph between 5.8-6.2 for coco i assume you have a e.c pen and ph meter

Just ordered all I need off eBay , and a local hydro shop. 50l canna coco and bag of perlite another 15l air pot and a full assortment of canna coco feeds £99 for 1l bottles of everything
Should get me going , getting excited now , question is do I tie the ladies down ? Get some mesh tied to the posts and scrog them ? Or just let em go ? If I need a bigger tent I could possibly ditch some shelving and get a 1.2x1.2 in or even if I could find a 1.5m wide by 1.2m x 2m high

id let them go natural this time get the hang of your new set up before jumping in to things i imagine you will want a 1.2 x 1.2 before too long but your space is perfect for 4 plants right now

just a quick update , this was last night , I potted up into felt plant pots , Friday but I hated the fact they were flimsy and they sat in the trays and was hard work to tip out the run off. So I went back to what I know , air pots 15l x 3 and the larger one is a 20l that I have shortened lol
See how I get on , my first outing in coco and making it up as I go along , just feeding canna start at the moment ,

Quick update , getting the hang of the coco way of growing I think , plants seem nice and happy been feeding canna start and rhizotonic for an ec of 0.9-1.1 , making 5l twice a day with a good bit of run off

gonna start them on coco a and b tomorrow I think , do they look big enough to stop the start and switch yet ?

Just though I would drop in and fire a quick update on,

feeding canna coco a and b. Rhizentonic and calazym or hi were it’s spelt lol ec of 1.2 and ph 5.8

I have ditched one of the chronics outside as it was already running behind the other 3 ,


it’s just 3 weeks and a couple of days since they popped their heads out the coco ! I am amazed at how much quicker they are growing than all my soil grows
How much longer do we think before I switch to 12/12 ?

coming on nicely now, thinking another week of veg then flip to 12/12 tied the peyote cookie down as she was getting taller than the chronic and gorilla,
Can’t believe how quick they are growing in coco loving it
