Tales of herbal Medicine

Got to add this. The photo I put up is when Horsetail is a little too old for picking. When all those branches are still bundled upward is the time to pick. Too old and too strong, could cause problems. If you should go after herbs you need to be sure to ID correctly; know what parts to use; what form to use; what dosage for what purpose; and how to diagnose. Always keep in mind and heart.....first do no harm, then keep doing it..........this begins with oneself. Online is a good way to get into herbalism

Good advice there trailanimal.
When I buy herbs on line, I like to use local companies (thinking the herbs will be fresher) and one with a good reputation.
Since I'm still learning about herbs and wildcrafting, I go wildcrafting with an herbalist friend of mine who's been doing this for over 40 years. Unless I'm absolutely sure of what I'm getting!
Saint John's Wort is blooming around here now. I hope to get some in the next few days.
