WOW! So since my last update, as Tony said, my plants have been packing some serious weight! I just went to give them the last res change before the flush and the big one has just toppled over! the buds on this taiga are heavy! I#m drunk and could really be doing without this but I've had to tie these badboys up! I stink! I can think of worse situations to be in but damn, another week of trying to keep this plant from committing suicide!

Hi guys

As you can tell from the pics below, it's absolute carnage in my tent! A couple of the branches have buckled and snapped so I've had to cut them off and put them in water to flush. The plant is pretty much being held up by string.

I've swapped over to plain water for the flush but I'm a bit worried that I'm only going to have a few days to flush as my land lord has now decided he's not going to sell and is now going to start sending people over to view to rent after us and I need them gone. I know it's not ideal but would 3 days be enough?

ring ur landlord and say ur sick and bedbound and he cant visit for a week.its ur home while u pay rent.:peace:sj

yeah tieing them up like that in the last picture is the way to do it. Seymour had the same 'problem' with Taiga, which is that the stems bend and break under the weight of the buds. All you can do is keep tieing it up man. But dont get greedy, you already have a substantial crop there. If you need to chop then it is still a good haul, if then can go another week you are even better supplied

Hi Tony

I can't really go another week now as planned. When Seymour flushed his plant by standing the branches in water do you know how long he left it for? I'm assuming the lack of flush never bothered him too much as he said it was the nicest auto he's smoked!

Hey SJ

Unfortunately he's quite within his rights to do viewings as long as he gives me 24 hours notice. It's a bit grim but hey ho, I am doing something illegal in his house so I can't really complain!! It's a bit annoying though as he served us noticed as he wanted to sell, sent an estate agent over to value, didn't get the price he wanted so offered to retract his notice, but by this time I'd already payed for and cleared references on a new place, now he's letting it again, annoying as we could have just stayed! On the plus our new house is nicer and I have a whole cellar to grow in now so can get a bigger tent and give my girls more space to grow ;0)

24 hours notice to enter your home to inspect it or carry out repairs, not to bring strange people into ur home to have a look.:peace: sj

Haha! Not when I've counter served a months notice! I used to be a lettings negotiator and have an ARLA qualification on the law, so I'm in the know on this one ;0)

Hi Guys

So due to my landlord being an indecisive tool, I had to harvest the plants after only 3 days of flushing. Whilst harvesting I noticed that they both had turned a little bit hermie, I'm guessing something triggered them late in flowering because there's not many seed sacks and the ones there are only have part formed seeds in, but it hasn't really degraded the quality so I'm not too bothered.

They've been drying for 4 or 5 days and I've now decided to transfer them over to my jars for curing. So, drums rolls please for the final dry amount...........141g's dry!!

I'm really pleased with that, just over 5 wizards is more than I intended so happy days!

This would be a great stealth grow as the smell isn't too potent. I had a little smoke off a small bud and it's reasonably strong and I only had popcorn from the bottom so the best is still to come
I think would be unfair to give a taste report due to the lack of flushing so I'm not going to bother.

So, there it is the end of my first harvest, I think I could've got another couple of ounces out of them, had I not made a couple of mistakes. But mistakes are there to be learnt from so they shouldn't happen again! Thanks to everyone who's been popping in and hope this has helped a few people out. In 2 or 3 weeks I'll be starting a new grow in a new groom, once I've settled in to my new house. Please keep an eye out for that one, as I promise you, it's going to be something very interesting!!!

Cheers

Greenie
