Indoor taiga and polarlight #2 in dwc under l.e.d

I hear you there mate. Variety is the spice of life and all that.. the scientist/geek in me nags tho and wants to suggest that you ran each strain on 2 diff mixes, rather than one mix for one strain and a diff mix for the other hehe :)

i wont be taking all 3 across the finish line only 1 of each strain, hence why i have to run 2 different mixes in each bucket, i dont really wanna pull either of the taigas as they look the best 2 plants out of the 3 and at the same time i dont wanna revisist the polarlights, by the time i do my next picture update there will only be 2 plants left , the taigas are the strongest smelling strain at this stage and smell like freshly cooked toast mmmmmm

i use canna aqua as my base nutrient which is a 2 part mix designed for re-circulating systems like nft and dwc because it has better ph buffering qualities everything else is added by myself to aid in the growing depending what stage im at

Yep thats why I ordered aqua and am pissed off to realise its hydro they've sent which is for run to waste. Sigh :( Good explanation man, are you sure you cant fit 3 plants in your new tent :D? Id love to see what total yield you could pull off a tent that is jam packed. I still feel sad when I think of the 2nd think different that you had to pull, such a beautiful plant :)

day 27 from seed

im down to 1 of each strain although they do look pretty identical they do have different aromas, they both stand at around 65cm tall

ive upped the ec to 1.5 and ph 5.9, im pretty dissapointed with the polarlights root system as its nowhere near what im used to seeing but i can only play with the cards ive been dealt on the flip side the taiga does make up for it, if i hadnt of put polarlights #2 and taiga in the thread title i would have stuck with the taigas , although on another day it might have been a different story

just for the record these are only being grown under 300 watts in total as both panels are only running at 1/2 power above each plant

pics, polarlights on the left and taiga on the right.......... still a fair way to go yet :D

Well even if the hand you got dealt was not the best, and I am not saying that is was not, you are playing it well, Looking forward to the finish, they are looking great!

Hey seymour, latest update is lookin great, was just wondering what your ppm's are?

hi Seymour, it's a shame the Polar lights hasn't got a root system comparable with the Taiga.....but lets hope that the roots are sufficient for the job! Maybe the Polar Lights root system will catch up a little. Actually - I like the structure of both plants , they look very healthy and I am sure you will deliver a great result

And keep up the good work. I am impressed with the vigour of the Taiga. ps I may have some DEFINITE news on test seeds for the new auto very soon (like today or tomorrow) , so you may need to create some space in your inbox! All the best man

it depends on what meter your using, i always use ec as its universal which at the minute is 1.5ec, this can become 750ppm, 960ppm or 1050 ppm

i know what your saying about the root system but again ive been looking at both structures and even though the polarlights has a smaller root ball she has way more hairs coming off each root which means she can absorb more nutrients and water, both plants look identical but i can normally tell how much a plant is gonna yield by looking at the roots, the polar lights may well steal the show and come in as the heavy weight. all will be revelaed in the coming weeks, you should never write seymour-buds off as i always produce the reuslts

ive just ordered a new air pump for my other grow room and gonna be looking to start a new grow in the next 7 - 14 days so if them pips are ready then that would be great timing

cheers tony

Cheers dude nice one, when i was buying all my stuff got a little confused with ec and ppm's and stuff and ended up with a digital ppm meter, doin the job fine, my "think different" is getting a root system super fast in my dwc with Advanced Nutrients, compared with the soil grow next to it, cheers for all your help :peace:
