New Grower T8 question

Hello.

I am growing using T8`s.

I am going to turn half of the blue spectrum (6500K) over to red (2700K) but my problem is the shop here only have 3000K.

Will 3000K do the trick, or do I need to get 2700K?

Hello weedlife. Are you growing autos? Might I suggest using a half and half mixed spectrum? You can use it the whole way through without having to switch them at flowering. There have been great results doing it this way.

Hello, Squid.

My plan was to grow on 6500K the first three weeks, then half and half and when growing has stopped, only 3000K (the last two - three weeks (I will use more like 10 - 11 weeks on a 8 weeker)

I do believe autos do not like red spectrum at all the first two - three weeks? Or do I mix up something now, maybe..

What do you guys think? Is this a waste and should I just go half and half the whole period?

There are a lot of growers here that have red(and blue) from start to finish. From what I have picked up, the more spectrums the better, as long as they're the correct and useful ones. Your plan sounds good, just more hassle IMO.
