Howdy Kmint! I use 2 of the htg 8 bulb 2 foot T5 lights in my cab.When i put new seedlings in there i start with the light about 8"-9" above them and then gradually move it down over a weeks time until its 2"-3" above the tops of the plants. I use the 6400k grow bulbs for the entire grow-the plants love them!

That's a great lamp to use...exactly what I use for starting and vegging all my babes...does a great job for me....my original bulbs were 5000k...lasted bout 18 months...now have 6500k.....use nutes sparingly on autos until hardiness is assured...then move up in appropriate nute for growth period.....

I run half grow half bloom in all my 8 bulb fixtures. It was worked very well for me.

I run 6500 k bulbs from sprout to harvest, the lights are kept at 6inches above the plants and remain on continuously 24 hours. this schedule yields the best meds for my situation. the plants stay under 24 inches tall and go 30% amber in just under 12 weeks. I was growing Dragons in a storage shed with no climate control,just fans.
