Syrup breeding crop with CS

I tried to message bob as well but his box was full (as of yesterday). I have everything to make the CS minus the air pump. Not a big deal, but depending on what I come up with I might start spraying this weekend:D some is better than none....

Spray your plants with cs as soon as you see preflowers. It's also better to start the plant you are going to cs about a week before the others. Good luck with the breeding dude. Making fem seeds is very rewarding

there must be a bug in the pm/message system because this is the second time ive heard someone say mine was full , but it is NOT

if your doing autos id start spraying the instant they show preflowers , or even sooner if the plants are healthy and vigorous , be careful not to over water them , the plants being sprayed wont use up the water in thier soil like the other plants , they recieve moisture daily from the spraying , also you get runoff/drips that keep the soil wet longer , over watering such a young plant will indeed stunt it , so keep that in mind and be as carefull as possible

ive gotta go back n read your posts again , then will edit this if there is anything to add

if you have questions then ask em now/soon , be prepaired and you will do fine

also , 200 seeds is very doable

peace

EDIT : i dont see the full plan , what plants are to be pollinated ?

for a first time and with autos id say starting the plants to be reversed sooner then the ones to recieve is a good idea , you can always collect and store the pollin if it falls too early

with plants i know and photos in general i start my plants to recieve early so they have lotsa pistils , but as cres is getting at , timing is everything

my timing might be (actually it is) a bit different then what i just advized you to do , but thats cause ive got a few seed runs under my belt now lol

i will say though , if you pollinate a plant later then expected , you can push them a couple extra weeks waiting for the seeds to fully mature , i stuck a already well into flowering plant into my breeding room when my reversed plant was well into pollinating/almost done not long ago , i figured it was crazy , but i wanted them seeds lol , the plant grew lotsa seeds but they werent ready when the plant itself was , i let that plant continue on up to the point it was hardly alive anymore , what was once a plant standing straight up was a droopy mess , BUT , the seeds were mature and viable , ive got some going right now

if you are thinking (and i think you are) about self pollination , then ill be of very little help to you , ive posted many many times how i FULLY reverse my plants , any female parts will be dead and long gone by the time my plants release pollin , all i can say is others have done it with C.S so you can too , and then your timing you have in mind is prolly right

i would say when you transplant , if staying together , try to tie them away from each other , then reverse only one of them , will be tricky though , would need a sheet of cardboard or something to hold between them while GENTLY spraying one and not both

best of luck

EDIT again : i mentioned this elsewhere on site but thought it would be good here too , now this might not be true or maybe a one time exception , but what i found is if you stop spraying too early you still get male flowers , but in my case there was no pollin until way way too far into flowering , i pulled the reversed plant out eventually and when doing so found it had finally started releasing some pollin , but very little , noticed today that a couple plants did infact partcially pollinate , so will have a few seeds , but when a close inspection was done there are 6 plants that didnt pollinate at all

what im getting at is this ,,,,, some people claim little to no pollin when useing C.S , ive now witnessed this myself , my advice is to continue spraying well beyond when you first see male flowers forming , i myself like to get as close to when pollin drops as possible , so spray up to the point where you figure pollin could start dropping within a day or 2 , it will most likely be a guessing game , but if you spray too long your only gunna kill off some early pollin ONCE before you say "oops better stop spraying"

Thanks for swinging in Mr B Good:thumbs:. I guess what I was going to do was to Spray one to breed the next one. I see what your saying about them both being in the same bucket (Ill get that under control). And you are dead on point with letting the plants go until the SEEDS are ready even if it is longer, Other than that am I past the point of no return ? or is this still doable?

its very doable , i edited my post again around the time you made yours , check it out

also , my pm box WAS full this time , sorry bout that , its empty now

peace

Hell yeah !!:D Man I swear as soon as I get rep to pass out... Im looking for you BOB.

I plan on using the cardboard divider. Heres week 1ish. I just stopped by to visit them at my stuido apartment. I only stop by twice a week or so but its my "man cave". It was only about 63 degrees F so I turned the heat up a lil. This week Ill start making the CS and start spraying one next weekend.... so far so good:D

you going to spray both those seedlings? they are syrup fems right?

make sure you protect the other one from the cs... or that one might reverse also...
