Indoor SWITCHING FROM VEG TO FLOWER NUTES??

There is no need to alternate water and food. @TaNg is one of AFN's top growers and he (and many others including myself) uses a feeding schedule that includes nutes with every watering. Of course this would be in smaller doses than what you'd give if you were feeding once or twice a week. Using a EC/ppm meter to check runoff levels can be helpful to see if you are over/under feeding.

I agree with the above advice that you should stick with veg nutes until the vertical growth stops. Just the presence of bud sites is not an indication that you need bloom nutes just yet.
Thanks for the good answer. Yh I have been Alternating and have been giving 1ml to every 1 litre of water.Biobizz recommended 2-4ml every litre of water but know it's usually too much.I do have one of those meters so might have to start doing that.I have just been going off the leaves.at firs I lost end to Biobizz and the leaves tips started to yellow so put it down and now it's fine.do u think 1ml to every litre would be alright every feed? I usually water every 2-3 days.
Another question is do u recommend checking soil for watering when lights are off as have been lately and soil just always feels damp even of pot feels really light.was wondering if the high humidity from light off is making it feel damp.I have just been going off the weight of pot but worrying about mould etc.
Thanks

I feed nutes with every watering, unless I see I'm going a little heavy then I'd give just water for a day or so. Then it's a 1-2 weeks plain water cleanse at the end.
Yh I might start this as feel it's a waste every time give it plain water. My flushing is going to be like this. Week 8 just ph water.start of week 9 a big flush 20 litres of water through 11 litre pots.then leave hopefully they dry up after 4 days and leave dry for another 3-5 days to force the plant to feed off wot it has inside plant.then24-48 hrs total darkness to produce more resin.
What u think.also do you trim your plants during or just leave n sort after.thanks

I don't flush, just cleanse nutes by a switch to plain water. I'm sure I've read to actually 'flush' you'd need a much larger quantity of water than 2:1..... like 10:1>. Tbh flushing through would be a massive hassle for me. My ash burns light and white and no nute crackle. I also don't bother with a dark period before chopping, again I've seen nothing to make me feel it's worth it. Also I always have different strains so often stagger chops making dark periods out of question. I don't defoliate or trim before harvest.

With all that I must be clear, I'm a small time amateur, if you do an intro and get a journal up in the new growers you should get a lot of more sage advice. A lot of the ways growers would answer those questions varies and much of that's down to it working in their personal experience, which may be totally different to what you find. On some things there's broader agreement. This sites great for gaining that knowledge, good luck growing

I might just do the whole 2 weeks just feeding water then.and I was planning to leave my plants trimming wise Aswell. Yh I aim to try n get good n make some good grow journals on here . Thanks

Hey bro, nice looking plants shooting up there :greenthumb:

I like your question about the nutes and whether to switch or transition the feed as I wonder about these things myself.

They look pretty nice right now and also nice and green, definitely do not seem to be lacking N. Of course that could always change .. Some people might start giving a pk boost near the onset of flowering or even a hint, but of course all the different nute lines and local grow conditions vary a lot, medium, strain, temp/humidity etc..

I've never used BioBizz but am thinking about trying them, lots of satisfied growers from what I know. Might be just as helpful to give some pics of the above plant a few days earlier in time to understand not only the current condition but to plot the trajectory based on earlier reference points.

Dayamn you're grilling them plants with the led panels, those are great pics dude I'd like to see the finish :pop:

I don't use Biobizz but it sounds like you are on the right track by watching the leaves. Just back off when you see the tips yellow a bit and you're in the right ball park.

As for watering, I only go by pot weight and not the finger test. If you are really unsure, try digging down a few inches and grab a pinch of soil. Then squeeze it in between a piece of napkin or paper towel and you'll know right away if there is enough moisture in the soil to absorb into the paper. That can be a much better indicator than just your finger, which can be fooled by temperature and humidity as you mentioned.

Yh that's good then.and I went with Biobizz as was organic nutes and think it's easier to not have harsh chemical taste. The even claim to give it a sweet taste.not sure if true lol and I think the reason the soil was staying damp was I had issues with my timer.I went up early one day n it was off when it was meant to be on.just hoping it wasn't off for too long of periods.they seemed to keep growing good but I've sorted that now so hopefully they grow even better
