Indoor Sweet Seeds - Red Poison.

My little baby wakes in the morning, and prays to the lights above.

Day 9 of life and health.

She starting drooping at the end of her light cycle, telling me she needs rest as she settles into a 18/6 light cycle.

I love collecting genetics, I love growing different strains, seeing how they develop, each and every grow is a journey and adventure, filled with ups and downs...

I have lost count of how many seeds I have, and so far I have a 100% GERMINATION rate, from simply planting and watering, just as nature intended, I am certain at some point I'll plant a seed that doesn't have life, but so far so good due to QUALITY genetics, some of the best in the world.

Day 12 of Health and Life...

My baby is getting some height almost peeking her head above the growbag, though she is still short, which is what I want for her...

Here is a shot of her main top.

And here is her branching at day 12, continuing to develop...

These images were shot under the BLURPLE lights but white balance has been corrected, if done proper images can be pleasing under these lights...

She is healthy which she should be as a seedling in soil, as they need very little at this age, and the 'nutrients' in the Fox Farm soils is perfectly fine and far from 'too hot' for the plant. A novice mistake that people make is using this soil and then feeding their plants some liquid nutrients in the seedling stage, burning the plants and then blaming the soil. You must understand the MEDIUM you are growing in and act accordingly, for example pure coco is basically inert and would require some feedings sooner then Fox Farm but even at that a seedling doesn't require much. The Fox Farms soils will run out of steam as they get into flower and the plant will begin to show some deficiencies, this is okay. It is at that point that I begin to give it some Cal/Mag and some Fox Farm bloom nutrients or some equivalent. During the 1st month I focus on building a healthy beneficial microbe/bacteria/fungi population with specific species that will feed the plant in the rhizosphere through a symbiotic relationship.

When the plant starts getting into bloom, she is going through hormone changes, and her needs change, at this stage I also up the light intensity as we shall see as this grow continues, when this happens she does need more Phosphorus, Potassium, and micro nutrients such as Calcium and Magnesium. I will feed her small small doses and will also allow her to draw nutrients from her stores or reserves, which are her fan leaves, and yes when this happens the leaves will yellow, show deficiencies, this is okay and part of her life cycle. This is what occurs in the wild, in nature, when these plants grow in the wild nobody is running around checking PH and adding chemicals, so how do they get what they need? The Beneficial's in the soil and their food reserves in those big fan leaves, that's what feeds them. (Yes I have experience in growing in nature, popping seeds outdoors in some fertile ground, no nutes, and just letting them grow which is what we did in the early 80's as many of us from that era really don't understand what these plants needed nor were there all this 'wonder' products available to us that are designed to save to day.)

There are many ways to grow this plant, and many here have their own very successful methods that differ with mine and that is fine and wonderful, the purpose of my grow journal with a strain I have never grown before on my desk with cheap screw in led bulbs is to demonstrate how easy this can be from seed to harvest without the need for expensive equipment and hundreds of dollars of nutrients and other 'Godly' do it all magic potion elixir's. At the end of the day its a fucking weed, and it will grow like a weed if its in a happy environment and yes, it will be potent.

Day 13 of Life and Health...

My Sweet Seeds Baby is starting to peek her top above the growbag, which in my micro grows gets me out of the seedling stage and she IMO is now a juvenile, I expect her to get angry and show me some growth spurts as she speeds to puberty. Right now I have the Alexa Bluetooth speaker right next to her jamming some 1950's Rockabilly (Because my house really jumps hepcats and kittens).

I also have a limonene candle burning next to her, giving a wonderful terpene smell and with my presence in the room giving her a daily blast of C02 which IMO is very important. I am not here to debate anybody, rather I am atleast in this thread showing how to grow a easy and potent autoflower on my desk with minimal effort. But I read someone here saying 90% of the successful growers here don't bother with C02, and my 1st thought was then 90% of these successful growers are potentially leaving something on the table. Am I saying you need C02 to have a successful grow? No I am not, but I am saying it is key in allowing you plant to reach its full genetic potential. Do you have to plumb C02 into your garden with tanks? No, exhale C02 bags for hobbyist grow tents is a excellent source but maybe the best source is you. You exhale C02, so spend some time in the garden, and talk to your girls, sing to them and with them, spend time with your ladies, and they will reward you.

Think of C02 like this, C02 is what a plant breaths in and it exhales 02. Humans breath in O2 and exhale C02. Have you ever been at a high altitude such as Denver, or even higher? Do you notice the lack of O2 in the air affecting your performance, your car sure does as it loses power and performance at higher altitudes. If you have a lack of O2 your performance will suffer, you simply will not perform at peak levels, this is true for your plants. Low C02 levels will affect their performance. Now many have successful and beautiful grows without worrying about C02, I get that, the environments they are in could already have decent C02 levels, I am simply telling you this part of the growing puzzle could aide you in yield and potency, giving your plants a environment that they can thrive in, maintain health and build resistance to viruses and pathogens. IMO adequate C02 levels are often dismissed by hobbyists, and threads pop up in multiple forums across the internet about stunted growth, underperforming plants, deficiencies, and never a mention of C02. Hmmmmmm….. Throughout this grow I will add tips and tricks to hopefully help folks, I realize there are many ways to grow, and many opinions will disagree with me, and I respect those opinions, and I am here to continue learning, as our understanding of how to nurture and care for these plants is evolving. I see many impressive grows here and on various other forums, people are good and getting better, technology and knowledge is improving. I bring 4 decades of experience to the table, I have been brought in as a consultant on multiple grows of various scales. I love this wonderful plant and encourage all to grow their own medicine and experience the beauty of caring and loving them, and allowing them to reach their full genetic potential, regardless of the scale of the grow.

She also got a foliar feeding with Optic Foliar Overgrow (ready to use spray), I just love this product.

My healthy precious baby, momma will take care of you.

I appreciate you sharing knowledge so it can help me down the road and then I can help someone else down down the road too. I am thinking about using C02 in my tent soon. I found VPD makes my plants healthier. That's something I follow and believe in now. And C02 could be a technique that I end up adopting too.
