I always cut the buds off that are ripe first and leave the others till they are finished.

I think breeders must use side lighting to get those whole plants for their pics. Don't know how they get them to finish all at the same time like that.

Edit: And have the whole thing be bud... That has always mystified me! I probably just need more lights but I get enough for my own use ;)

Thanks for the advice guys.

should I chop half the main cola off as that's where all the amber is or take the buds off just?

I'll let a better grower answer that. I just chopped the whole thing, betting on only one wound site vs many.
But then, I'm just a redneck.:pighug:

Lol thanks man. I suppose it would be just like topping it? Means I can drop my lights right down to the lower bud . Just don't want the poor bugger to die on me.... Yet!

I was using my T5's, dropped them down, and really never saw the plant even hiccup. I'm not sure if that's uncommon or not; I do know my lower buds went on to mature into some fine smoke.:Sharing One:

Well I chopped the main one down . Wet weight of that was 21 grams? Or is my scale wrong? Lol that's what it said though.
