I am starting a new project today, that I have been planning out for a while. I'm a 3rd generation grower/breeder. I recently got back into contact with my Dad, who gave me seeds for his strain he calls Super Purp. He's been working on it for a little over 10 years. It's based off of a special clone he had that was an F6 DJ Short Strain that I won't name out of respect for my Dad, it's not Blueberry though. The terps were unique for the strain, and had a Peach, Grape, and Coffee taste. A very potent mellow, introspective, but euphoric high, good for PTSD, bi-polar, depression, and controlling anger as well as pain management. This clone was super stable, and wouldn't herm in a hot greenhouse with no fans, doing light dep in the 115 degree summers of Redding, California. It was a smaller plant, that was ready to harvest in 50 days or sometimes less. My dad had this clone for roughly ten years before losing it to russets a couple years ago. Before losing the cut he backcrossed it twice, and made Super Purp. He bred for stability, potency and fast flowering traits, and threw out multiple crosses of the clone looking for these traits. He now grows the Super Purp exclusively from seed and 100% outdoor with no artificial lighting now, and grows it from March to December using a small greenhouse, and light dep for 3-4 harvests a year. Through the backcrossing the Super Purp kind of lost the grape smell/taste, and has a soapy smell. My dad gave me permission to breed with it and turn it into an Auto, and gave me tips for selecting males from the line. I just threw 3 Sour Daddy Auto and 5 GDP Blast Auto seeds in the water. My goals for this breeding project is to make a bad ass Super Purp Auto, so my dad and I don't have to light dep anymore. I'd also like to bring back the grape taste, and make the Super Purp a little more hardy to the cold, they don't like my cold garage as much as my own strains do. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow, once there's a little more to show.

Here are some links to the seeds and the pots all of them sunk in the cup overnight.

GDP Blast Auto

Sour Daddy Auto

For the Autos, they're in about one gallon containers with a blend of compost, manure, recycled and new Dr. Earth organic soil. This is a seed run, so I don't really plan on adding anything unless needed, or I feel like trying to swell buds with a tea, FPJ or something. I'll try to get some pictures of the Super Purps later once the lights are on, and explain the journey so far with them.

I just did my potting outside for cleanliness reasons, they'll be in a shed/greenhouse with LED and HPS lighting going 18/6 during the night and part of the day, the 6 hours are more like shade than total darkness.

Soinds like you have a plan, and that's half the battle! I started a similar journey about a year ago. I've never heard of these auto strains you are using. Who is the breeder?

They're from newguy420, they were cheaper regular autos that have a decent rep. I mainly just wanted some regular autos to work my own lines into autos, and go from there. The GDP Blast is a GDP Auto x Blueberry Auto. The Sour Daddy is GDP Blast x Sour 60.

I found your I.G from here.An followed you.

Here are the two Super Purps I'm planning on using. Both are females, I thought one of them might be a pretty resinous boy, but I was mistaken. I was thinking I might use a Super Purp boy for this project. However I didn't find a male I wanted to use. Honestly these things kick ass for my dad outdoors in the extreme heat of Redding, CA, but in my cold garage they're not super happy. However I almost can guarantee some hybrid vigor will help the line. So I'm planning on using a Good Auto Male if I can find one, and taking the Super Purp Auto Project in that direction. If anything I'm planning some other photo Super Purp crosses with my own photo lines, that are much more vigorous and happy in my environment, and a possible Super Purp bx. I will probably post some other threads on those projects. One positive is these things have been extremely stress tested, and have proven themselves to be up to the challenge, they're already pretty skunky/hashy smelling in veg. They have a sister I won't be using for breeding or cloning due to undesirable traits. I killed two of their brothers I didn't find worthy the other day. I started out with like 12 and weeded out weak ones.

Got 4 of the GDP Blast Autos breaking soil, so I guess you can call 11/3 as day 1. Looks like the other 1 GDP should pop soil later tonight or tomorrow, and a Sour Daddy is in a similar spot. If I get a decent male we're good to go.
