Well, I told y'all I have no self control  randomly decided to say screw it this evening and pop 6 more seeds.

I picked the 6 "fastest" (per breeder description) strains in my collection and popped them into Root Riot cubes with 2 granuals each of dynomyco and then watered with my "week zero" nute mix. They got half the jar today and I'll be topping off the seedling rez thing with the rest of it as needed.

Popped the tray in the tent with the 4 photo girls. If the breeder descriptions are to be believed, they should be finishing right around the same time as the photo girls, if not a bit sooner.

I'm planning on putting them in 6" Square pots once they're established in the root riots. Will be using FFOF again for the soil, I still have quite a bit left still. I'll be using the full FF line up yet again as it's what I've got at the moment. I am adding in myco+ this time as well.

I also intend to do a bit of experimenting with mainlining on these, which may slow them down a bit. I'd like to see how many times I can get away with topping them before they move past veg.

My biggest challenge in this will be that my tent is currently on 12/12 for the photo girls. My plan as of now is to pull them out right before lights out every day, and then to run them under some other various grow lights I have for a few hours each morning before the tent lights come on.

I'm not expecting any sort of huge yields from these, my understanding is that a 6" pot is about 2x the volume if a solo cup. I'm mostly interested to see how they respond to the training, and what sort of effect it will have on veg time. Plus, as @420Forever says, variety is the spice of life, so adding a bit more variety to my grow isn't a bad thing.

Going to go ahead and loop in @Vapo as well, since I feel like this will be up your alley. Can't really remember who else is watching my other grow but I'll probably loop them in as well once I get a chance to check.

    Seeds I've chosen are:
Pink tag- Aurora Borealis Auto (Oasis)
Blue tag- Berry Blue Auto (Oasis)
    Yellow tag- Cheese Auto (Canuk)
    Green tag- Lemondrop Auto (Oasis)
    White tag- Magnum Auto (Canuk)
    Red tag- RPK Auto (Oasis)

All in, $13 worth of seeds, so if it ends up being an epic failure I'm not too stressed about it. All claim to be 10 week or less strains, but if they mean seed to harvest or flower time I suppose we will find out.

Yet, beneath the surface... (yes I got impatient lmao I wanted to make sure I didn't need to adjust the temps)

Nothing on the Lemon Drop or RPK yet, but the RPK is looking like it will be showing a taproot tomorrow. May go ahead and bump the temps in the house anyways, I've been cold here lately.

  • Oh hey, what's this?

Topped them off with a bit more of their baby nutes today. I was planning on putting them in the little 6" plastic pots I have, but I decided I'd rather keep on with the fabric pots so I've got 1gal square fabric pots on order that are just over 6" square and will be potting them up once they get her and each baby pops.

  • So now we are 2 for 2 on these ladies popping with fan leaves already showing lol. I'm assuming that has to do with the depth that they are planted, I have been pushing a large myco granual into the hole and then pushing the seed down on top of it, so they're pretty much in there as deep as they can be. May also be part of why they take a few days longer to pop than what is typical.

I've since moved them up onto the Critical's pot since they're looking a wee bit leggy to me. 1gal fabric pots were just delivered so I'll be potting up the two ladies who have popped in just a bit.
