New Grower Suki's Perpetual Grow-a-thon

You could use a light amount of the below. It is relatively inexpensive, organic, and almost every hardware store carries it. I bought a small bag awhile back for 10 bucks maybe twelve. It works there are some people in the organic section that use it to follow along with canuck on youtube as a replacement for Gaia Green as it is so expensive here vs Canada.

You could also use the a combo of the neem and kelp a tablespoon of each maybe and some worm castings. I use more of complete mix because if she is a heavy feeder for N more than likely she will be for P and K in late flower as well. Also not sure how your worm castings go but I put neem and kelp in my worm bins so I get a little boost there as well.
You think a 4-4-4 would be best in this situation? Or something more P heavy? With her being in early/mid flower I'm afraid to go too heavy on the N and end up with her being crazy leafy lol.

or you could go to a 4-8-4? Then you have the extra P you need...

I think a 1/3 of a cup or less would be fine, I think your more than a little behind on the N.

Again the rose fert might work as well If you think that to much N might be an issue.

I would use the kelp and neem a TBS of each and see where it goes. I also sometimes forget container size. I am in 10 gallon plus so it would not be as concentrated that seems to mitigate some of the effects as well. That 2-6-4 would work if you have that concern.

I use Fat Flowers or build a bloom in late flower so I do not worry about the P now but that is just me.

Sorry a little choppy today. That Dab with the morning coffee might have been to much. :baked:

Oh no you're totally fine, I'm not used to this 6am wake up call shit myself so I'm gonna be all out of sorts today. She's in a 10gal, I've got 4 10s and a 20 in the tent. Its weird that she would be behind on N considering they're all in the same batch of new soil and I've seen some signs of excess N to the point of minor N toxicity in some of the others. May just be that she's a heavier feeder than the rest, hard to say I suppose. I do have a bunch of Alfalfa pellets that I could grind as well, forgot about those, if you think that would help. Regardless I'm going to have to go out and grab some castings anyways so I'll see if I can find something balanced to toss in there. May hit her with a dose of recharge as well once I topdress to see if that helps at all.

I am not the genetics guru that some are but I have had some issues similar issues with certain strains. I ran 3 plants in 20 gallon and have noticed some have different needs even in the same container if that makes sense. I am actually going to be showing off my 35 gallon here soon(running dandelions in it for now to make my ferment). I have been running the insect frass ferment in flower seems to be working well.

I digress.

I individual mix my soil now so I know every container is the same. Not one big batch then sort it out. Even doing that I have deficiencies showing from time to time on the same strain as I usually run two of everything.

Just like kids as you well know from the same genetics but some eat more than others. Pretty sure my youngest daughter can out eat a college football player. Funny thing is she is skinnier than the two oldest.

Are you running any bokashi or lab? They both seem to help in breakdown. I use recharge as well but not as much as I used to probably once when I think I am about four weeks out.

Do you run cover crop when i first started using living soil I did not cover crop and I would get slight signs of N tox and once i started using cover crop in-between or at the beginning of cycles is more or less stopped. I just chop in and drop most of it under the mulch when it gets to big or I reamend.

I am not an expert and I am sure someone can explain the science, but in my mind between the N fixing of the cover crop and pulling them then letting them cycle back into the soil it balance is out. That is probably not the right wording and is in no way scientific I just know it works for me.

I've just started a worm bin just for the castings. That's something you won't find here unless it's online and then shipping cost on heavy bags is expensive:shrug:
So in a couple of months I should be able to harvest my first castings. In case this water only grow works out I'll have an abundant source of good amendments for keeping the medium happy and healthy.
I'm not completely over to the organic side as you are, but I'm slowly getting there

No bokashi but I do use labs regularly. Cover crop yes, though it was not established when I planted her and I'm pretty sure the amount of shade under her has killed it off.

That's fine that it gets killed off it goes back into the soil. The more consistent I get with cover crop the more balanced my soil seems to get. Just replant it at harvest. Well a few days before it usually germs pretty fast.

I forgot earlier to mention great job on your use of space I am pretty sure you are using every inch of that new tent.

Mulch looks right to you did not make the rookie mistake I did and over mulch creating a layer nothing gets through. Should be sparse and sporadic.

Long story short looking good as always.

Thanks! And thanks for all the help!

Your always welcome. Thank you for keeping me motivated to get better and try new things. I will stop hijacking your thread now. HAHA

Not sure if your interested but if you look in AJ's land of random thoughts Suki, myself and a few others have many conversations about water only, KNF, worm bins. Ferments, KNF, and random stuff(strain reviews, random pics and such) as the title would suggest. Good insights and discussions on growing organically if your interested.
