I just celebrated the most ironic Birthday ever...

I only celebrate my birthday once a year and Birthday's are always a fun time for the kids with the candles and cake(s) and the suspenseful presents.... They love it, so I didn't want to dampen their joy by not eating my own cake(s) and making the occasion strange for them.

I decided to cheat on my Paleo diet for the first time since I started, about the beginning of July? I don't even know when I started, but I just jumped in, hardcore, and haven't deviated one molecule since. On this day though, I ate a fat piece of Apple Crumble, a fat slice of Black Forest Cherry with Rum, and a fat slice of Peach and Passion-Fruit Dream. I won't tell you how intense the speed rush was after over a month without a grain of sugar in me! I used to pay top dollar for that kind of rush back in High School!

Then we get to the presents, the irony. The first one I open is from my loving wife, who is doing a terrific job supporting me with my diet. It's a Paleo Cookbook. After all that sugar and the crumble and whipped cream....
