Since SD1 had been drying for a day and a half, I thought I'd try some, one of the smaller buds that felt dry enough for testing. After grinding some up I knew it would taste green, and I was right, but still...
I'm missing the floral smell in these semi dry buds that was very apparent while the plant was still alive. The buds smell very earthy and dark, like a bucket full of a mix of half peat moss and half ground up evergreen branches. It smells old and nostalgic. There's a slightly sour bit too, and the tar or asphalt smell is more mellow now, just noticeable in a good way. The expected wet grass smell is probably hiding something more interesting. We'll know in a few days.
I smoked a bowlful, about 4 nice lungfuls, and felt it immediately after exhaling the first hit. Just some tingling in my head and upper body. By the time I put the bowl down I was feeling perfect. She just numbed me right up. It comes on slow and steady. Instead of sitting there just enjoying it, I got up and went down in the cellar and started re-arranging and cleaning! Fully functional, NO BACK PAIN, happiness, head buzzin' like a bee.... Beautiful smoke.
Smoked from a bowl, it tastes exactly like it smells. I can't wait for it to dry and cure because that green smell and taste is still f'n it all up. Even so, the smell is amazing when handling the buds. Addicting. And they're stickkkky! Drippy sticky.
I smoked SD all day, exclusively, and I'm in love. Every two hrs, just a bit, perfect. After I made supper for the family this evening and we got the wee ones all tucked away, I thought it would be time for me to play. So I really smoked up a cloud of Stone Dragon and got absolutely baked. For a few minutes my body was just flowing. No chance of trying to walk, let alone even try to stop the symbiosis between me and recliner. For a short while, my thoughts were louder than the music and I didn't get to hear the weather report because I was trying to remember what was so important..... thoughts just aaall over the place. Guess what I did then...
I f'n baked some Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies! Hell yeah. Need 'em. Stone Dragon For The Fucking Win.
