Update time!! My girls are doin' fine despite cold ass temps here this spring and the electric heater I have to have in my cabinet. So fine in fact that I had to top the LR2 to satisfy my urges. You'll see one short plant in the frontal shot because I couldn't wait (6 weeks and 6 days was a long time), but at least I included a pic of the LR2 main cola that I clipped as well as the oven-dried remains that made me a happy camper last Friday. Here then are photos for your viewing pleasure. In the front view photo the plants are as follows... Front left Auto AK47, rear left Auto Blueberry, rear right Auto White Widow that is just starting to bud and in front of that on the right is the topped LR2 :smoke:

ps. I checked out some other parts of the AF forum and found some long-term watering solutions that can work for me. Scratch the Brussels Watering System. Same idea but I can build it myself instead of buying it and it looks like it should work just fine.

Hey everybody, it's been a while and my journal is almost complete. You may notice that I pulled all of my previous pics. I wasn't sure if they were geo-tagged or not. Fortunately, turns out my encryption software takes care of that. Anyway, here are some reposted shots cleaned with FileMind QuickFix.

About the pics, here's some additional info. LowRyder 2 was first to finish and is the key to my crossbreeding. The pic with the orange handled scissors is from my PC seed grow earlier this year. LR2 on the left and the top half of an AK47 on the right. Grown start to finish in 1 liter containers and done in less than 60 days (early harvest for seeds).

The four plants I started this journal with were feminized and bought online... 1 each of an LR2, Auto Blueberry, Auto AK47 and an Auto White Widow. Everything is done and dried except for the Auto Widow which can be cut anytime now. The LR2 was great. Finished fast, very little smell, nice 50/50 head/body high. The Auto Blueberry also finished fast. Great taste, VERY smelly, and a very nice clean high. Great daytime smoke. The Auto AK47 is some potent shit. Smelly, tasty and giggle, giggle. I'll post about the Auto Widow when I know more, but let's just say I've got high hopes.

If you're interested in yields, I don't have a scale so you'll have to guess based on my pictures alone. I also don't have a ph-meter, a hygrometer, or any of that fancy shit. I've got good dirt, I go easy on the nutrients and get as much light as I can without risking a fire or blowing a fuse. That said, I estimate the total dried Auto AK47 harvest at somewhere near 30 grams, about 20 grams of which is some of the nicest bud I've grown. Once upon a time, I would have paid a shitload for a fat sack of that.


Last but not least, legalize it!! Everything I grow is for my own personal use. I'm not running a business, supplementing my income or endangering a soul with what I do on my own private property and personal time. Here's wishing you all a sticky green summer!

To complete my grow journal, here's a picture of the last plant harvested. It's a little rough looking, but you have to remember I grow unattended, only watering and checking on my girls every weekend. This was day 61 for my first fully matured Auto White Widow. It's fully dried now and I'd say, minus the main stalk, I got somewhere near an ounce and a half (approx 45gr) from this one plant. It was slower to finish than the other three autos I grew and turned out to be pretty decent smoke, pleasant and potent. Unfortunately, it's such a bushy plant that it really affects light distribution in my cabinet. I've got a few of these going in the great outdoors now and hope to make cannibutter with the harvest. Now that this plant is out of the way, I moved over my next contestants who are about 40 days along, two Auto Berry and one Low Ryder 2. The AutoBerries come from the seed run I did first thing this season when I crossed a batch of the new Autos I ordered with some Low Ryder 2 that I have been growing for the last couple of seasons.

So, of the four types I grew, LR2 / Auto Blueberry / Auto AK47 / Auto White Widow, the AK47 wins the prize for best overall bud. Blueberry comes in a close second, having a better smell and taste, but slightly less dense. Auto Widow and LR2 tie for third for the simple reason that AW takes longer to grow and although LR2 is fastest to the finish, it is half the size of the AK47.

Thanks for checking out my journal. If I get a nice batch of AK going, I may post that later just to show how close the LR2 / Auto AK47 crosses come to the original I bought online. Peace!

Thanks Homie! It's strictly CFL, mostly because I can't risk blowing a fuse or having a heat problem while I'm gone. Sometimes I get a bit antsy 'cause I really want my girls to take off, but I'm very pleased with the overall results. I have four 45W CFLs in each side of my cabinet. I start everything in an old pc at home, then move the girls to the left side of my cabinet once I can sex them. They start on the left side which has three cold white and one warm white CFL, and once there's room on the right side I move them over. Three warm white CFLs plus one cold white on that side and as long as you're not in a hurry, they fill out nicely. I know you didn't ask, but I like to type... especially when I'm

also.. which company did you get the auto widow? Im growing a Dinafem now.... I was growing it for... well the Legendary potency of widow... I know im not gona get same as photo widow.. but Kinda disappointed you didint like ur smoke.. or as much as the others. Cheers!
