State of AFN (2020)

I don't think it's fair to criticise those who haven't or can't donate. I myself haven't thrown in and will be unlikely to unless things take a dramatic upturn in the very near future.
That's right, criticism in this situation is ridiculous because those who criticize haven't walked in those individuals shoes. Sadly, this is internet 101 behavior. A certain percentage will always throw bullsheet in the negative where it simply is not warranted. You want to criticize, fine, then keep it to yourself. I personally don't want to see that particular brand of stupidity on AFN.

It's all good Autowonders (and HnD), Lets not let one comment spoil the abundance of positivity and celebration in this thread.

People on the internet are judged by their comments, and I'd again like to thank those who have donated not just thier cold earned cash, but also time on the site paying it forward, sharing the info and doing what AFN was setup for.

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

Member donations are 100% optional ... and no member or staff will be judged for not being in a postition to donate! ^_^

Good Morfnoevight All! of you fine AFNers. I keep reading about a "Donate Button" I want one :vibe:

The thing is just how does that work? Who accepts the money and processes the credit cards? How will that remain anonymous for those that need anonymity. Is there a service out there that does this for a cannabis related business? Does anyone have a proven method for this?

I think we may just end up running a campaign or two per year on GoFundMe and those members standing in tall cannabis can contribute then. Please donate a little to GoFundMe also because without them this is much harder.

Done and Done.

Just an FYI for @Son of Hobbes

It just forced me to load chrome again to post this...

Cant access anything ( page goes grey) and pop up then gives me the option of chrome or Tapatalk to proceed.

Also getting "file to large for server" when trying to upload pics.

:pass:

Evening everyone!

As to the "continued donation," honestly I think the GoFundMe campaign has served the site extremely well so far. It was suggested we try donations awhile ago; it's just not the most "cannabis friendly" idea in reality (the fact this has worked so well has me floored.) We had reached out to GoFundMe about our campaign and they gave us the greenlight (best to get permission on stuff like this before you get in too deep.)

We actually had a Paypal donation link on here years back; but Paypal is practically the mafia with the way they handle your money, accounts, and disputes (I don't have enough middle fingers for Paypal to be honest lol.) I'm not sure how we could set up any other options unless they are okay with our content, etc.

Okay I should have fixed this tonight; I disabled tapatalk temporarily (since it's not quite working correctly with some of our settings anyway.) That should stop the prompt asking to choose.

To add on that, that's Tapatalk's software doing that. I've researched it a bit; there may be a way for us to manually force off the request, otherwise you have to pay for a premium membership to turn off that option (pretty sneaky, Tapatalk.)

lso getting "file to large for server" when trying to upload pics.

How large are the source images? The server is set to allow like... 8 mb or 9 mb maximum image file size. Anything over that will give you that message. We can consider increasing it a nudge; the forum automatically resizes the images down in resolution.

Hey Now!
Taking a moment to thank everyone that has blessed our beloved home with some time, cash, love, vibe, and everything else. You folks rock!
Peace,

Just got on without being forced into running things I don't use so that's cool.

The pic that was being flagged as oversize was 1.3 mb. Haven't tried since my FYI post... will try again later today or tomorrow and let you know if I'm still getting it.

Oh... and just so you know... PayPal is actually pro weed... they are just following current federal regs. as required.

In fact they have dumped a ton of money into lobbying to get the current regs. changed and are still trying...

As soon as the Federal regs. are finally changed they are all set to welcome Dank Dollars.

Tell that to all the legitimate ancillaries they've frozen assets on and never given any explanation to. I think Phylos was all about the cannabis too (wink wink) lol.
