New Grower Starting a 32oz party cup grow

Since these are photo strains that your are growing, you might be able to get away with the MG soil but I would strongly recommend you go with the Pro Mix if you can find it. Photo strains aren't as nutrient sensitive as autos and may be able to tolerate the slow release nutes in the MG soil a bit better.

32 oz. cups are pretty small to grow photos in. Keep in mind that they will double or triple in size after they are switched to 12/12, so you may not want to veg them too long, maybe only 2 or 3 weeks instead of a month.

Yes Im going to try to find the Pro-mix at lowes or home depot today. If I cant find it quickly I'll go with Seed Starter MG. I thank you for the tip. Would it be best to veg them until I can determine sex? Again this grow is just to get my thumb a little green, not really looking for yield. Im after making more seeds really. And if I get to smoke some bud in two months thats just a bonus.
How long you think it'll take seed to weed? I starting germing oct 1 and a seed already sunk!!!

from what I understand bro is that the yield will be greatly reduced. Ill be lucky to get 3-7 grams if that.

I looked at a lot of solo cup grows cause I wanna breed there too ...that way I can just chop a big old bud and pick through 1 bud and not an rouge seed in a bud from the painting thing ....or use the CS to make them fem and throw the little bud away and keep the fem seeds!! ...dunno hope u. Get a good feel.for it bro ...!!!should be fun either way ...time frame that's always the??????

Today I picked up M3 and dropped it on accident. She is MIA.

None of the M seeds have cracked. Crazy because they were the first to sink. I let them in water for 30 Hours. The A seeds 4 of 6 have cracked.

Now I placed the seeds in the jiffy pellets. I shoved them in there about 1/4 -3/8 inch.

Also I want to point out that since the M seeds did not split I sanded them down on the edges a bit hoping that they split. I used a nail buffer but I bet 1000 grit sand paper would be the same.

Going back now what I should have done is put bottled water in a bowl in the micro wave nuke it till warm. Then throw the seeds in till they sink wait 4-6 hours. Then place in jiffy pellet.

By the way the jiffy pellets do they need to be saturated in water, very damp, or slightly moist?

Got a 26w 2700k and 27w 5500k about 2-3 inches away from pellets I think its pretty warm.

Tips guys ? Should the pellets be wet? How long should I expect before I know which ones are dud seeed ??

3 Hermie seeds no sprout.
6 good seeds all sprout.

Jiffy pods were dry last night I watered 4cc each is that enough?

Decided on waiting 1 week before I get soil. But keep cheap and easy suggestions coming!

1 lady is going in 2.5 gallon pot.

If i have more than one lady the other is going in a 2 gallon bubbler if i can.

I leave the seeds in total darkness bro till the head has sprouted and open ....the I go light ....I dunno if u soaked the pellets they should hold moisture for a few days ...I don't use them tho ....the root taps out pretty quick ......I been dropping them straight into dirt now ...did alit of tier method ...

I've also had seeds sprout sprout a week after in dirt ...I don't know how long u should wait ...tho I don't wait longer then a week 10 days tops ...

Im thinking one of the seeds is kaput cause it just wont open the seed only sprouts out the tap root.


Hey guys. Just want an opinion on Ocean Forrest soil ? couuld I Use that with maxibloom and espon salt

Ocean Forrest is.known to have issues lately ......some good some.bad ...and Ph is wack a lot ....ur best bet is PROMIX ..or roots but roots will need lime ...u can also.look into Just Right Extra its cheap and a lot are testing.g that on here great stuff in it for the price
