If you have some of the desiccant packs that come in pill bottles or other containers, throw those in also. I paid more to get a waterproof meter, which pretty much ensures that I will never drop it in the water.
Just picked up this one today from Amazon UK - Thing that caught my eye was a one year full guarantee, free express posting and free calibration solution too...15 quid the lot.

So it arrives today, i eagerly make up some new water/feed mix to test so I's can see how low it is, even bought some Epsom salts i was so sure it'd need playing with - PH reading?....6.5 spot on the nail. Buggerdy, i might send the meter back if i dont need the ruddy thing lol
