That's sort of untrue as long as you do it at the right time. I'm doing it tiered. I'm cutting out the bottom of the cup before the roots even get there, so I don't disturb the roots and using some great white. They will be fine.

Everyone says not to train them or top them too and I think it's all about timing. It just has to be done right.
