Did some defoliating and even took the branches that were barely getting light. Attempting cloning just for practice. If they take AWSOME, and if not, I was throwing it away cause they were bottom parts.
Plants A and B Day 32, C and D Day 16
And now there will be no more training or defoliating until needed in flower for plant A and B. plants C and D are still doing great. There was some over crowding until I got some of the big fan leaves out the way
Let me know if I am doing it wrong.
Clean and sterile surface, razor blade
Clonex and Rooting powder
Jiffy Pods were soaked (to expand) in 2.5 mL of VeloKelp and 1 gal. of water.
Shot glass of mixed water and VeloKelp (2.5 mL to 1 gal) used to soak into the center of Jiffy Pods before I stick the clone in.
Cloning- cut 3 branches (ones with not enough light and at the bottom) from A and 3 from B
Above a node I cut the bottom of branch at 45 degree angle on all six cuttings. Also cut some of the leaf tips (to reduce some of the energy to the top and more to the places roots come out)
Then dipped 3 of the cut from A and dipped in Clonex gel then dipped in rooting powder (experiment for me) and planted in Jiffy Pods that were soaked in well water
Did the same as plant A with B but no rooting powder (marked with a tooth pick) Placed in Jiffy Pods.
All cuttings placed in one of those covered green house thing stored underneath the res.with a towel on top (for light control not humidity control, the cover has the twist top thing in the middle).
