Indoor Squid's Second Grow-Duurty Dragon, Diesel Ryder & MI5

mostly transpiration issues... which causes slowing of growth and such... bump it up... get a wet towel and hang near your fan in there... :toke:

Hmmm. Would it be that bad at around 25-30%? I am wondering if this has been messing me up for a while or not. Ok ok. Here we go. Squid look like a total nube dick time:

I have my temp meter/hygrometer right? Well I kept it in my tent for a while when I was first starting out, maybe a month or so back in Feb with bag seeds. My humidity was around 50% then. I realized the 6 foot sensor it came with would be awesome to run in after seeing more grows so that I could read the temps at a glance from outside the tent, so that I could keep an eye out when I went into that room. Then I effin realize that it doesn't say in the manual that the 'outside' sensor measures the humidity too. So I think it's just the temp. And almost this whole time it has been around 40% which isn't great, but was in range at least for vegging. So I put it in the tent and after 12 hours it dropped to around 30% which is the actual humidity IN the tent. Ugh. Fuckity fuck man. Have I been screwing myself?

That MI5(Molly) was hauling ass then just stopped in vertical growth and explosion. I have had stunted plants for a while and had this sneaky feeling something was off. And on top of that, a couple of my new DDs that I have been soooo simple with, have a tad bit of yellowing in the center. What gives?

Having slow plant transpiration rates can aggravate the uptake of calcium. Make sure your soil isn’t very acidic, for calcium gets harder to be absorbed through acidic soils, Which leads to having a plant that is deficient in Calcium. The leaf tips, edges and new growth will or may turn a yellow/brown colour that happen in spots and often surrounded by a sharp brown outlined edge and then the leaf tips die back. If too much calcium is given at an early stage of growth it can stunt the growth of your plants. Having to much of calcium will also flocculate when a concentrated form is combined with potassium. The parts affected by a calcium deficiency are the roots. Stem or petiole, young or old leaves.
50-70% is target range.... backing down to 40-50 for flower if you like... anit-bud rot method...

too hot and dry makes them try to conserve water... and since water is required for photosynthesis... that cycle is inhibited... they close their stomata and stop breathing basically... which slows growth and inhibits nutrient uptake and use...

:toke:

humidity is always lower in my GR than in my "air-feed" zone for the GR higher temps cause lower humidities... remember... its RELATIVE humidity... :toke:

no worries mate... fix it and I bet your stuff soars off... also... might need to bump ph up a hair... read your 7.5 in and 6.0 out before...

Oh my god I think I may just burn myself alive. I rock in the 80s always during lights on. Usually more towards 83-84 than 80. My soil stays wet forever, like too long than normal. I have great airflow with the flap open and two circulation fans in there, one at the lights and bouncing down and one pointing across the floor and pots. But the temps and humidity are still high and low respectively. Fuck me man. I am sorta pissed right now, but trying not to be. :cuss:

do you have a bubbler for water (aquaurium pump)?

use a 5 gallon bucket on the intake with airstonmes and a bubbler... so the intake air must pass over it... is your exhaust rigged to pull hot air right off your lights?

I have huge issues in summer with heat so i shut down... i just cant maintian unless i use A/C.... and there's sune shining... i figure just use that... lol

83 - 84 is fine btw....

"Transpiration often is greatest in hot, dry (low relative humidity), windy weather."

Wait I though this was bad? Confused...

Yeah the temps are fine, but what about the humidity and the temp?

theres a tipping point... just like us... we get so dehydrated we stop peeing... too hot without the ability to transpire (our case perspire) causes issues...
I wouldnt go below 30% if you can help it.. and preferably 50-70%
