Question: is there any special reason to using two party cups on each plant? Maybe a transplant trick or something?

usually they call it tiered planting or similar. the inner cup has the bottom cut out and the outer is just normal maybe with drainage holes, come time to transplant you just lift out the inner cup and plant this into your final pot and barely disturb the roots in the process.

quick question where did you purchase your mi5?
nothing against dope-seeds but it's pretty expensive

I got the MI5s from a friend of mine and the DDs from the 420 special day. I earned those; waking up every 45 min-hour from 11-2:30 am to log in, and one week after I broke my neck, lol.

bgrt answered the question on the two party cups. One is cut out and the outer one has drainage holes.

Luv your choice of seeds. If I had to pick two myself I would be picking Diesel Ryder and Auto Assasin. But the two you picked are within 10% for sure. Wicked good luck with them. I will follow along.

Well...the moment that I have been waiting for

Squid's new grow>>> I am actually a couple of days into the grow and I have a ton of information that I am going to cover as well as several pictures of everything in my setup. I didn't do this on my first run so I figured I should really give you guys a good layout and pictures.

Hopefully this works out as planned. Going to try and make this grow easy to follow with all info layed out and the gear list repeated on updates to weed out repeat questions or questions in general, not that I mind, ask away, but all the basic questions will be covered by seeing the gear and specs every update, you'll see what I mean.

Let's get started shall we?

Gear list:

>HTG- 3x2x6 Grow Tent
>HTG- (1)2 foot 4 lamp pl-55 Tek light, mixed spectrum, 220 watts, 20,000 lumens
>(2) Sunblaze 2 foot T5HO for side lighting, 6500k, 24 watts, 2,000 lumens each
>20/4 lights throughout
>Avg. temps-Daytime 80-84F(26.5-29C) Nighttime 73-76F(23-24.5C)
>Humidity 40-60%
>HydroFarm 4 inch exhaust fan 165cfm
>Phat 4 inch carbon filter 200cfm /active air speed control
>Passive intake via back flap
>(2) 6 inch circulations fans
>GrowBright Thermometer/Hygrometer
>5 liter Airpots(18oz party cups to start)
>Promix BX w/perlite
>General Organics nutrients:
Bio Grow, Bio Bloom, Bio Root, Black Diamond

>General Hydroponics- ph up and down
>Spring water blue cap from Wal-mart, always bubbling
>A fresh bowl

If I missed anything, just ask.

I started with nine seeds on Sat. May 5th (Super Moon)
I did a test with the soak.
1/2 soaked in plain ph 7 water and 1/2 in the same but w/ 1-2 drops BioRoot
Soaked 24 hours then into paper towels and bags and into a warm, dark spot
24 hours later 8 of 9 had tails, 1 MI5 was cracked but no tail
All soaked w/ added Bio root had noticeable increased germination growth compared to the plain water ones. The 1 MI5 with no tail was soaked in plain.
This has just been one test, but still.
All 9 were put into 18 oz party cups filled w/ straight Promix BX and a tiny pinch of powdered sulfur. And those are soaked thoroughly with ph 7 water with a light dose of Bio Root and a bit of the Black Diamond and sit for 5+ days and then partially watered with plain ph 6.5 and sit for another day before germed seeds are planted about half an inch(1.27cm) and lightly covered.
All go in the tent under the Tek lamp at about 15 inches(38cm).
All Duurty Dragons have hatched where I can see them.
All MI5 are peeking into the world, except for the one. It'll pop up soon.
Smaller clear cups were placed over the tops until I see life above mix.

So, I'm just gonna lay all of these pics out in decent order. There are pics of almost everything listed above and baby Dragons of course
