Yikes that is high. This Af Kush Ryder I have growing now is rated at damn 24%. But all those %s depend on how well you grow it and are based on near perfect grows in optimum conditions.

haha. Nice plur. Dead on. I will be creating my own line of squid strains, you got it. Although that could have been obvious. I am the only squid on here and here's the idea it's out and dated right now. So if anyone else comes along claiming that's there idea eff them, it's mine.

Plus, I have looked and seen no strains with names including squid or octopus. So there you go. haha

I do actually want to branch some of them off of some of Wiz's dragon strains. I hope that's ok. How does this work exactly?
I don't wanna piss anyone off, especially Wiz, but his strains are awesome. And I am not trying to rip him off, or you, if you're reading this Wiz. Let me know what's up because I don't know the 'kosher rules' for breeding. Obviously, one has to start somewhere with some strain that some breeder made at some point. Anywho. Now we know what the Squid is planning.

The Best advice you can give to Any prospective Breeder is to just DO IT...I haven't seen an Ugly one Yet..

You grow a Girl..One cross..you watch her..you homework her..you work out her dominance..
Get to know WHO she is..

THEN you can use her as a Breeding Tool..
because you Know her..
she is Predictable..

There..Right there is your Project..
take either a Duurty or a Magic...and hybrid them through..FIRST...

Buy 10 seeds..do an IBL...then open up the pheno selection by getting as many of your IBL's growing as possible.
Dragons have a massive gene pool at the back of them..Use it..

Set your sights on pulling a pure white cross..and a coloured cross out of it.

By the time you hybrid..you will know them inside out..then they become Breeding Tools.

You can Use them to Breed Towards or Away from.

Dragons have a big Affy gene-pool..with a Kush dominance..
so would be Perfect for Autoing all Affy and Kush photo lines..
also..
I Think the Reds in Dragon probably go back to Columbian heritage..
so this would probably be a good cross too.

When you start..come up to the Communal comp thread..there are others doing the same thing..so you will get more support up there..:thumbs:

Friendly suggestions for crosses with Duurty Dragons

Hey guys and gals. It's getting close to starting my new grow, which is also, more or less, the official start of micro breeding on the Squid Farm.

I will be growing out mostly DDs so that I can learn about them as much as I can, as I will be working with them a lot. I am only starting with 8 plants at a time right now. 5 DDs and 3 of something else. Hence why I am calling it 'micro breeding'. Doesn't make a damn difference it just sounds cool to me so deal with it

This, in essence, will be the veerry beginnings of crosses for breeding my own strain down the road. :dance2:

I have three other strains that I can cross with the DD, and I want to pick just one to be the other 3 plants out of 8. Whatever males I get will will be removed and placed in a different location to finish out with a couple of T5ho's.

Strain choices:

Stitch's Onyx
Stitch's MI5
's Bad Betty

Anyone that wants to throw in their opinion is welcomed and thanked. :smoke:

Yes, but with only doing three, it would be one of one and two of another. Not much choice there at all and that's what I need in breeding. I don't wanna just make crosses, I want to breed with the best looking ones out of multiple. Three barely cuts it, but that's what my space allows. And since I will be using the DDs more I want to grow more and more of those and pull out what pheno that I see and want and like and stabalize it better than what it is now, then move forward.

But even with F1s of the DD x MI5 I can still pull DD traits out that way too.

As long as its a male DD squid. Just remember most of the traits you see will come from the male plant at first. Until multiple crosses are done. One word of advice bro if you are set on stitches strains there are a ton of wild genes in his strains! I am not saying they are bad at all but very unpredictable to say the least. Also make sure you have plenty of meds before you start this because if one things goes wrong and you get all males on a run, you are screwed for another several months!
