She’s having some spotting with lower leaves firing off moving up the plant. I was using distilled water with 1 tsp of cal mag every watering but now switched to well water that has a ppm of 300. Maybe I should have been putting more than 1 tsp in the distilled water? But hopefully this will clear up since I’m using hard well water with 1tsp of cal mag added to the feeding. Any ideas? Thanks

Looks like calmag to me. Depending on medium coco sucks calmag, R/O water, lightning can all be factors for calmag. Also your ph too, if your ph is off you can have your plants stop absorbing nutrients. Checks those things and see if any could be factors. Not sure about distilled water and amount of calmag so no idea if you just didnt use enough.

I came to the conclusion I wasn’t adding enough. The runoff ph is in range. It was out of range a week or to ago but I’ve been having to bring my water going in down to 3.1 for the soil ph to drop to around 6.5.

Figuring out the problem is most of the battle.
Do you know if I should be adjusting the ph while using organic fertilizer? I’m using botanicare pure blend pro with bat guano as a booster. Some say to don’t ph and others say to ph. I’m confused on what I should be doing....

I am in same boat as you, I am using biobizz light soil for the 1st time. Everyone says not to ph it will buffer it. Thing is I am using @Greenleaf Nutrients line up and feed is like 5.4'ish, only ph # I saw was 6.2. If that's what ph it wants that's a long way to buffer. Everyone that said dont ph was using organic nutrients so cant compare their grows. I'm starting to think not to ph. I heard if using organic soil that ph down will mess it up, to use lemon juice to lower ph. I am using ph up so would think it may be the same. Grow was going good but has looked a little bit off. Could be just getting old is day 71 but I just dont know if I should be using ph up? So, i cant help unless some of my ramblings have made sense lol. Hope some of that was useful.

:toke:- don't pH adjust organic nutes, that's the general recommendation; most nute solutions will be acidic anyway! ....the well water is way too hard to use for long, too much CaCO3 in there, and in that form it's not as available as other types of formulations,... if you have self fill water machines around, or a water store, go there and fill jugs, much less $$ that buying DI water! You can add more Ca-Mg to it,... are you in soil or soilless/coco?
This Ca defc. for sure, LED seems to elevate demands on top of that,... how far away are the lights?

Lights are way close, 150watt led about a foot away (10-12inches) would general Organics cal mag 1-0-0 be fine to use every-watering Evan with the added nitrogen along with the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro bloom 01-05-07 I’m using every feed? So I shouldn’t worry about the runoff ph? I’ve been using citric acid to ph down. Any suggestions why the runoff ph is coming out so high? It was 7.9 before I started bringing it down

that GO is fine,... citric acid is fine too if needed, but it won't be with DI water or any low ppm water,... again, what are you growing in, soil or soilless media?
...too close lighting will badly affect Ca issues!

im growing in foxfarm ocean forest with natures living soil. Should I use distilled water again or mix it half and half with my well water? Thanks for chiming in
