Deep Blue C got her first feed with bloom added this morning and have changed out the CFL for the 200w 2700k bulb, so here is a pic of the box under a nice warm light and a developing Orange Alien bud frosting out all over the fans

What are those funny lights on each side?
I'm not being a smart ass. I really don't know.
Some kind of low heat, low intensity blue led to keep the the plants short?

Is it something you are testing or a proven help to your plants?

Hey pal,

They are just 30w 5500k spectrum LED corn bulbs, added them as side lighting in my Sour Crack grow, used them as a alternative to CFL bulbs as they put out less heat and put out more lumens (4500 roughly each) than a 30W CFL bulb.

Not to sure what part they have to play of any in the height of the plants, they are run from about Week two onwards all through the grow, bud quality on the lowers and the side branching has improved for sure since adding them though.

They are just 30w 5500k spectrum LED corn bulbs, added them as side lighting in my Sour Crack grow, used them as a alternative to CFL bulbs as they put out less heat and put out more lumens (4500 roughly each) than a 30W CFL bulb.

Thats the ones lol, thanks for jogging my memory though was 4500 lumens for the pair not per bulb, either way was cooler and more powerful than a 30w CFL bulb, think the nearest CFL was a 55w bulb, but yeah side lighting seems to have benefits when it comes to even light on the lower growth.

Yep I have a couple of these that I added to my cab for this grow, cept mine are 30W 3000K spectrum. The only drawback that I see is they emit light all the way around including the end that does not screw into the socket. They do make one that is designed to go into a street light type of fixture. The "blub" is flat on one side with all of the leds mounted on the flat side. All of the light is focused in one direction. But they are kind of hard to find and they cost about 3x as these did.

I know what you mean about the lost light on these bulbs, the same place has started doing these and they are even cheaper but only 6400k and 2700k spectrum

I like the street light style better but cant find a local supplier yet or ones without a E40 fitting that is a bit chunky for side lighting in my limited space.
