Fast Buds Spanglish grows G14, Northern Express and Rhino Ryder, English y Español

Hey Spanglish - how you doing?? :D

Looking like a bloody good start!

Whats the deal with the ties??? ... does it have a fancy name??
Looks cool!

:cool1:

Hi Blue, hows you do? I am doing great thanks for asking.

All going good so far even with all the changes, the test is going to be the 10 days aways between days 38 and 48 when i am off to Madrid and then Dublin, just rigged up a Blumat XL for a test run with a 6L bottle of water, if all works out they will get one Blumat XL and one 6L bottle each per 6L pot and keep my fingers crossed till i get back.

The ties "Ponytailing" is something i saw @Chester using a while back, and if the strain like it works nicely at pulling the lowers up early and giving some mini colas, G14 will be getting her 5th and final 3.5hr session tomorrow, along with Rhino Ryders 3rd. Northern Express is only getting 2hrs per day as she seems to be one of those strains that dont like it to much, and probably best to be left to go on her own but had to give her just a little as i am stubborn.

Ponytailling ... hehe of course!! Whatever next?!?!

Woo hoo hoooo - risky risky  .... I'm kidding, but have had the same fears recently as i've been running a couple of autopots! First few days i was just waiting for them to leak! They're solid bits of hassle free kit by the looks of things! :D

Hope the trial goes well and the holiday is wonderfull! :d5:

Yeah tell me about it, getting twitchy enough about the trial run and keep checking to make sure the whole bottle is not emptying into the pot, or that the soil starts drying in a few days, god knows what i will be like when i cant check on them, am going to have to rig up a cam streaming from the tent or i am gonna end up going insane.

Ed Sheeran in Madrid and then Beer and a catch up with some old friends in Dublin, no doubt a good time will be had if i manage to chill about the plants that is lol

Got a test stream up and running from the tent to see how it holds up before i go away next month, tried with my old tutorial for the Bambuser app HERE which gave a real clear high quality stream, but the wifi connection is not great in the back room and the app has no way to auto reconnect when the connection drops.

Twitcasting has that option but quality is not as great but good enough to keep an eye on the girlies, so will testing that for a while.

Secret word to access the stream is SpanglishAFN for the time being

EDIT : Stream down for now, Twitcasting is limited to 30 min streams before having to manually rebroadcast, great little app for short term live streaming but not too hot for a 10 day break, hopefully will have another test up soon with with something more useful for my needs.

Have got what looks to be the best way of streaming the girls to meet my needs using AtHome Video Streamer, connection seems stable so far and unlimited in time, also dims the screen out to save battery as with the 4hr dark period and power off at the only reachable socket phone was close to dying after 2hrs with Wifi, cam and screen all on.

Can access the stream by Android or IOS using the AtHome Camera Viewer apps and the QR code below, lights out for another 10 mins though so not much to see till then lol.

If i find anyone playing with the flash i will have to stop the share on the stream as this is gonna kill the battery and cause the phone to overheat.

Day 21
Growth has really picked up the pace now over the past week as they begin to start the stretch. G14 and Northern Express are nearly neck and neck in height but G14 looking the most meaty of the two. Rhino Ryder is a strong Indica dom staying squat with real big fat toothy fan leaves, and is the only girl still being ponytailed with her last day probably being today as the lowers getting lost in them big leaves are just about clear.

Top dressed 12g each of Top Vulcan into the soil today with 1.5L of plain water for NE and RR, and 300ml for G14 as the soil was plenty wet enough from the Blumat XL i am testing on her, the Top Vulcan pre mixed into the soil should have been good till the end of Week 4 or 5, but some leaves are looking blotchy almost like Mg def most noticeable on NE as can be seen in the photos without the flash, but visible on a few leaves of the other two less so on RR due to her fat dark Indica leaves, might just be the LED but thought i would chuck some in to be safe as have been paranoid about CalMg problems under LED from the start, till i get used to using them.

Extractor is now on 24/7 as RH was starting to creep up a bit to high without it, it has dropped temps down a bit but still in nice area at about 22c(71.6f) lights on and 19c(66.2f) lights off and RH holding between 40%-50%, also have add the Cyclone fan from the old grow box to get a bit of circulation in the bottom of the tent, which has not made any changes in the RH or temps but has got the leaves twitching nicely in the breeze and the girls drinking faster.

Here are the times for the ponytail sessions on the three girls
NE - 1hr, 3.5hr, 2hr, 2hr
G14 - 1hr, 3hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 4hr, 4hr
RR - 1hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 4hr, 4hr

Heights
NE - 18.5cm (7.2")
G14 - 19cm (7.5")
RR - 11cm (4.3")

NE - 1hr, 3.5hr, 2hr, 2hr
G14 - 1hr, 3hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 4hr, 4hr
RR - 1hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 3.5hr, 4hr, 4hr
