Extraction Source tubo vs heat press

As @Ripper said, rosin is a product made with only pressure and heat. It only refers to the how.

Efficient... Ethanol is a pretty efficient stripper, but is unavailable here without a hoop dance... with a press, all I need is some parchment paper and a place to plug in and were in business.

So...efficient, gets the most with the least cost? All methods out there (excluding dry sift) require some layout of cash up front for the equipment, then the per run usage of the solvents...the alcohol, butane, hexane etc. So...maybe..

Flavor and smell wise, the press wins, hands down. (Returns aren't bad either)

I've run a closed loop system, open blasted some... done etho washes and iso washes. By far my favorite is the press. Supply gone? A gram nug and 10 minutes and we're ready to dab, decarb, whatever. Simple.

I love rosin, mostly all I do anymore. As good as it is live resin taste better, not hatin'just sayin'. Butane is expensive after a while unless you reclaim it. Rosin will only taste as good as your cure. I have had stuff that wasnt cured very well, and rosin wasnt great tasting so like everything else depends on your material. I'm with you on rosin, I like it best due to NO SOLVENTS. It's my go to for making edibles its much easier.

If you want to increase your yields make sure you are pressing bottle tech style. Mine went up 45%.

Thanks for all the info. I thought the source turbo might be more versatile but maybe not..

There's a lot of great products out there, and they all have a place, it's just - is that at your house?

I think my biggest gripe with solvent extraction is needing a minimum amount to work, and me not wanting to go thru the process unless I'm not gonna have to do it again for a while due to cost and time involved. If you don't have a need for tiny (half gram to gram) runs probably won't be much of an issue for you.

The source turbo is cheaper than some of the presses people use out here. lol
