Extraction Solventless Thca

Just thought I would post picture of my first attempt at making Thca crystal.

Basically I pressed fresh flower to get rosin and make sure it's budder consistency. I let it cure a few days then wrapped it in 25um bag and parchment and pressed it again for a while increasing temps.

This is the final result.

I've learned a lot and think next time I can get it pure white.

Going to give it a try tomorrow!

I basically followed th nugsmasher guide on making it. I would probably double wrap rosin next time in the 25um mesh material to give a larger gap between rosin and the parchment "diaper". The purpose would be to allow more of the terpenes to wick away easier creating a more pure extract.
My yield was close to 50% from rosin to the Thca crystal.
Definitely want to keep the pressure on low end. The guide I followed said to shoot for 250psi.

All I can say is that the crystal itself doesn't really have a odor to it and tonight I'm going to try to smoke it for the first time so I'll definitely update

Something glass. Long pipe or bong.

Lovely looking extract btw, way beyond my capacity. Can't wait for a smoke report.

Im sure it melts when heat is applied based on what I've read but no I haven't tried it. Unfortunately my vape won't charge either. So I only have a glass bong at this point. Open to suggestions.

I'm thinking I might sprinkle it on top of flower but I'm worried it might just suck into bong? Then I thought about maybe mixing it in with some rosin and put that on flower. But I can't think of a good way to try it on its own until I get new vape

dude get an oil burner. they are great. i smoke rso with em all the time. if you do get one, i like to use a jet lighter with em.

keeps the substance, once liquid, from getting away. pretty cheap also. i can get em around here in shitty gas stations for like 8-10 dollars. there are kinda bad things associated with these pipes though. i think people assume you are going to use them for smoking m*th.

I did order something today and not sure when it will get here yet. I'll see if anything is open on way home near me tonight. Otherwise I'll just pack flower in bong then sprinkle on top to get an idea of potency at least and test again when I get something better.

Just thought I would give a preliminary smoke report. I had to put a piece on top of flower tonight to smoke it. Just enough flower to where I didn't think it could get sucked through.

After the first puff I checked and yes most was melted into flower. There was a small amount left that melted as well after the second light.

Shared it with someone and it's still not done but we did stop smoking lol. It's been maybe 15 minutes now and it's ramping up for sure.

It's really clear headed but you know you're pretty baked. It actually started off giving a burst of energy but that's starting to fade now.

Flavor wise..... Normally in bong I don't taste much other then butane and regular burned weed flavor. First couple tokes didn't have any butane flavor and was slightly different in a good way. Then the butane flavor came back with a weird twist to it. I'm really looking forward to vaping/dabbing it, I should have something here Tuesday.
When I started writing this I was thinking in a few more minutes I would spark it up again but I know think I'm ok for a bit LOL.

This is very easy to make if you know how to use rosin press. I'll definitely be trying this again.
