Need help! Mine and my husband Rick's (@Delmar) solo girls are looking poorly within the past couple of weeks. My Sour Livers was first, then later his Skywalker that *was* growing rapidly. They are on day 35 or so as I recall. The plants overall leaf color is kind of lime green with the lower leaves lighter green and yellowing with biggish brown spots (brown could be from recharge spilling? ). Leaves feel dry and papery. They are in Roots original on the bottom and Meph soil amendment on top. Getting water only - half RO water, half well water, pH between 6-7, ppm around 100. Plus recharge once a week for last two weeks. Under 1000w hps, temps 78-85F day, 65-70 night, RH 20-30%. Our eleven other girls in 3 gallon airpots treated the same look great. Here are photos of lower leaves I plucked off the Skywalker.

Anyone have any input? I hate to be a poor sport, but thinking about withdrawing from competition and transplanting these two and trying to turn them around. Not sure we can turn them around in these solo cups unless it's just nitrogen deficiency and they need additional nutes. I do have megacrop sample. Oh, and I tested their soil pH with my CWP accurate 8 and they are between 6.5 and 7.0.
I think they need food . The amount of supersoul will not be able to maintain them imo. You are trying to have it grow on 1 tenth the nutes it needs. And recharge does not have nutrients directly I think. More for the soil life to make nutes available.

Looks to be P def symptoms probably caused from either lack available of in the nutes or the nutes are getting locked up. Can you check the pH of the medium in the cup? With such small containers, things can swing very fast. If pH is good, then you just need to up your nutes. Plants going into flowering demand more P than during veg. This whole solo cup thing is a very valuable learning experience, so play it out as long as you can. This is my 3rd solo grow, the first one went the best and I've learned alot during each one. Great luck. :karmacloud:

I think you are right. I am starting them on Megacrop.

PH in soil using CWP accurate 8 is between 6.5 and 7, so should be ok. I started Megacrop. Apparently I have a lot more to learn before I can successfully grow in a solo cup!

My update comes with a cry for help! I can’t figure out what’s wrong here. I just gave water an hour ago after a complete dry out. No nutes. Allowed for quite a bit of run off. Hopefully this helps. Prior to , she was on Tang’s AN easy feed schedule with my other girls. The others look fine.

[EDIT]
Noticed others are getting problems with their solo girls. We noticed that using the gh flora trio on every watering has kept her alive and kicking. Some days we wait till it dries out completely before we water but every day we Gove it a light watering and feeding and it's doing well.

Main thing treat it like a soilless medium . And feed after the first 2 weeks once roots get established. The nutes in the soil get used up quickly.
