@Ash-a-Ton & @bushmasterar15 -- I wanted to get in a photo update today. Back around the 14th, when choosing our "final contestant" cup, I was torn between my horribly mutated White Widow and my Chem Bubbly who had a persistent leaf death-wish. Well, wouldn't you know, the Widow has suddenly "fixed" herself while the Bubbly continues to waste away. Oh well, you go where the trip takes you - even if it's down a dark alley or over a cliff. Not sure how much longer she'll last. :nono: Anyway, here's the Chem Bubbly from photos yesterday, which was her day 39.

The problem seems indicative of a phosphorus deficiency, but the cup's pH is between 6.6 and 6.8 -- which should be fine for phosphorus update. The medium is Roots Original Soil with a bit of Mephisto GBD SuperSoil mix in the bottom and a sprinkling of worm casings throughout. Through the grow she' gotten RO water to drink, and an occasional RO drink containing MegaCrop with a bit of CalMag. The past couple of days I let her go bone dry, then this morning flushed with 1.5 liters of RO water at pH 6.6. We'll see what happens.
These Solo Cup grows are not for sissies.:naughtystep::help:

I have same medium - roots original on top with mephisto soil amendment on bottom - and am having similar problems with both my and Ricks (@Delmar's) solos. In short, they look like shit. Upper leaves lime green in color, lower leaves light green and yellowing with big brown spots, all leaves dry and paper thin. Seriously considering bailing on the comp and transplanting these two and trying to save them. All the other plants in the tent getting same treatment look great. I hate to totally waste two plants. Going to post photos in a separate post here to see if someone can tell me what the problem is. Soil pH is fine.

@Kels59 - wow, that's really interesting. I wonder is there is some negative interaction between the Solo Cup plastic and our combination of soil & amendment? My pH is fine. I've aggressively flushed out the cup. Today I gave her a tiny bit of MegaCrop with a touch of CalMag. Then I'm going to let her dry out thoroughly. One of the problems I notice is that her lower roots have not developed as much as they should --- the pot stays damp and heavy in the bottom much longer than it should.

At first only mine was looking bad, but now my husband's is looking poorly too. Will post photos in a bit. All our other plants (11) are thriving in their 3 gallon airpots, same medium, water only, same water, same soil pH I dunno. Our solos don't seem to have a drainage problem, but when I water I am getting runoff even though you are not supposed to water to runoff with the meph soil amendment. Maybe we've washed away all the nutrients? Since I started recharge last week, and another dose last night, maybe new growth looks better.

Need help! Mine and my husband Rick's (@Delmar) solo girls are looking poorly within the past couple of weeks. My Sour Livers was first, then later his Skywalker that *was* growing rapidly. They are on day 35 or so as I recall. The plants overall leaf color is kind of lime green with the lower leaves lighter green and yellowing with biggish brown spots (brown could be from recharge spilling? ). Leaves feel dry and papery. They are in Roots original on the bottom and Meph soil amendment on top. Getting water only - half RO water, half well water, pH between 6-7, ppm around 100. Plus recharge once a week for last two weeks. Under 1000w hps, temps 78-85F day, 65-70 night, RH 20-30%. Our eleven other girls in 3 gallon airpots treated the same look great. Here are photos of lower leaves I plucked off the Skywalker.

Anyone have any input? I hate to be a poor sport, but thinking about withdrawing from competition and transplanting these two and trying to turn them around. Not sure we can turn them around in these solo cups unless it's just nitrogen deficiency and they need additional nutes. I do have megacrop sample. Oh, and I tested their soil pH with my CWP accurate 8 and they are between 6.5 and 7.0.

Good luck to all you guys everyone has really nice plants it's a hard grow in the solo cups lol
But I'm respectfully dropping out nothing wrong with my plant just gonna move on from AFN ✌️ like I say good luck guys and much respect to all!
