I will be growing in 3 gallon Smart Pots in a small 32"x32"x5' grow closet. I will have ventilation. Mars Hydro II 900W (I know that's a lot but I got a good deal). Realistically 3 or 4 AF's in this space? Two?

I'd like to keep my soil medium pretty simple if that is possible.

Here's what I was thinking.

* A layer of perlite or similar at the bottom for added drainage.
* A 50/50 mix of FFOF and Happy Frog or EB Stone 420 Mix.
* I have a bag of Root Riot starter plugs so I would place these in each pot pre soaked and buried leaving a little bit above the soil line. Into these I put the sprouted seeds.

I am learning that AF's are nutrient sensitive?
The hydro store near me gives away free tea. In addition what veg and flower nutes should I use?
CalMag? PH buffer?

i was told a good watering/feeding schedule is nutes, then next time watering tea, then next watering just water. That rotation.

It has been a long while since I have grown and never have I grown AF.

I'm open to any and all suggestions. Can't wait to get started. Thanks

Hi SHRED i've got 9 plants in a 4x4 space, it might get a bit too crowded in there, but i am a novice. I use 4 gallon pots.
For soil I went for the complete set of biobizz soils and nutes just for the convenience of it.

The local hyro store carries BioBizz. At least they are listed on the BioBizz website. I'll check it out. Thanks

Hi SHRED, growing autos under LEDs you will probably need to give some cal/mag with each watering. With the size of your light and grow space I would keep it as far away from the plants as you can to start out. If you do grow 4 autos in that space at a time you are going to want to encourage a good amount of upward stretch.

Without knowing what is in the tea your grow shop has it is hard to advise on it. If you do try it you may just want to try it with half the plants the first time to compare it to plain water with cal/mag every other watering.
