Outdoor Sockelf's 2017 PNW Island Grow [amnesia, black cream, euforia, ak-47, early miss]

Very nice! A 10 feeter would be awsome to see and a very respectable harvest

I'll try to snap a picture of it today!
The problem where I am is that the rains are coming. The dew is already heavy and lasts well into mid-morning. We're usually battling mould and powdery white mildew by harvest (thus my interest in auto flowers.)
I'm regretting not topping the photoperiod plants because I'm worried about the main colas just being too thick to handle the moisture we will have by end of Sept/mid Oct. Live and learn, I suppose. I'm hoping the breeders were truthful with their explanation of "early flowering, early finishing" on the Vanilla Kush and Canuck Cookies. Blueberry usually finishes okay but gets hit here and there with mould. Selective trimming and eagle eye drying/curing.

I'm still working on the husband to get a greenhouse this winter so I could really finish one or two (smaller) photos nicely in there for harvest 2018.

Ah, another female agent and you also know Mrs. High Desert, LOL...waiting for the pic:drool:

Here ya go! Circles show the tops of the plants, from L-R: Blueberry, Canuck Cookies, Vanilla Kush.

I'm standing on their garden top (which is two feet below my lawn) and I'm 5'2. The black censor rectangle lines up with the top of my head.

She's big!

Holy Cracker Mrs. Sockelf!
What have you feeded these Trees...radioactived water?:headbang:
Hey guys..

look:drool:

haha! They are quite the trees, eh? The far left was a clone but the other two were from seed!
I think there's a few different elements in play that help with their growth. Supporting the side of the lawn are giant cinder blocks. Like huge. They warm up during the day (or used to, before they were blocked by massive cannabis bushes.) Directly past them, there's about a two foot path and then our pond. I think their lower roots must tap into the pond water system (it's a natural spring/pond area, filled with plants and critters.)

The soil was amended with cow and alpaca manure, zeolite, perlite, nitrogen, a little peat moss and some diatomaceous earth.

They received a small amount of Miracle Grow at the beginning of their life (I know! Awful! but I still have three bags of it in my garage for my flowers and it was just sitting there... free...) They've also gotten molasses and in the past two weeks they've had Rhino Skin a few times a week. I've just started feeding them some Flora from General Hydroponics as they're just getting their buds now. Hoping for a long fall though... I need six to eight weeks of light, sporadic rains and warm evenings....

On another note - while I said Euforia was coming down... i decided to leave her. The calyxes just seemed like they could get bigger and I wasn't seeing any amber yet. TODAY however, is the day, as I've been seeing some amber trichomes here and there. Her leaves are yellow and faded and starting to curl just a little. Euforia is hopefully destined to be a daytime smoke so I think I'm feeling confident about harvesting now, before more amber moves in (though I Haven't decided on her stunt sister who still has enough white pistils to make me wait.) I'm always so eager!

OK Mrs. Big Trees,

i saved this on my canna USB stick and turn back later...

Just a quick pick of one of the Sweet Tooths. Look at those leaves that are curling from the amount of trichomes jammed up on them! The undersides are covered just as well as the calyxes. Definitely the frostiest of all my plants this year.

The porch Euforia was jarred this morning, ready for curing to begin. Final weigh in at 178 grams! I'm quite pleased with the harvest. The smoke/vape has been really nice as well but looking forward to enjoying it once it's cured longer.

As everything starts to yellow and ripen in the garden, I'm a little sad as the growing season is beginning to end. It's so bittersweet.

Chopped the two Sweet Tooth this morning. The main cola on the untopped plant is prettttty nice. I estimate that the topped plant might have produced less but I guess I'll find out in a week to ten days when I jar it up!

Here's a pic - mostly trimmed, fan leaves removed. Left plant was the topped plant, right is untouched. Lucky can for scale!

Sure is nice having a shop/suite with a bathroom to hang all this stuff!

The Cheese come down tomorrow or the next day.

Then there's one lonely Euforia left with another three weeks left in her I'm guessing and my photoperiods. The Blueberry seems 10-12 days ahead of the Girl Scout Cookies/Canuck cookies and vanilla kush. Sure hope I get to harvest them ripe instead of prematurely!

The Cheese came down yesterday. Smells fantastic. The untopped plant developed some darker colouring, hints of burgundy/brown almost on the tips of the buds.

Here's the main cola shot with a beer can after trimming. The circumference is impressive - it is so much wider than you can tell here. Looking forward to some test smokes of this strain. Smells so sour!

The sweet tooth probably has a few days before weighing and getting jarred for curing.
