Snerval's third grow - BioTabs

Thanks for the rep @Bob's Auto's !
I'll try to achieve this grow up to an happy finish, but I'm not really confident about what I'm doing. Lol!
It's all a learning process, but I've found out that BioTabs took away a lot of guessing for me, opening up more room for developing other skills...

Yes I really appreciate the ease of use of BT, it's a source of less stress for me.
Now I need to improve in temp and hr management - unfortunately I don't have the skill to make it myself, so I need to find the right product for my set-up, like a mini heater and a suitable humidifier for the tent (0.80x0.80x1.80m)
I'm working on it :d5:

Your plants look great! I don’t think it’s too late to top them, my Double Grape had grown 6 nodes by the time I decided to top it after the 4th node. Then I removed the 1st set and grew her with 2nd 3rd and 4th nodes. She didn’t get mad that I topped her late, perhaps yours won’t either.

Such a beauty !
During my second grow I had to top a Gorilla cookie plant which thought she could reach the top of the tent and beyond lol!
It was a great experience to see this big plant thriving.
Unfortunately I was stuck in a succession of heat waves - couldn't monitor the temp, rh and such, so I lost most thc, terpens and all...

Tomorrow I will take a closer look and try to count the inter-nodes - I'll post some pictures to get expert advice :greenthumb:

It is, isn't it. Less stress means more fun with the plants.

Maybe a heater isn't necessary. How did you setup your extraction? I'm also in a cold lung room and therefor have reversed the extraction in my tent. I actually turned my tent upside down to aid in that, as all the openings where at the right spot that way and I didn't have to cut new ones...The only hole I punctured through the tent was for the co² tube and I already regret doing that as there's actually loads of light leaking from the hole :wall: They sure make them tents good :hump:
But, heating...I let the fresh air in through the top, where it get's heated by the light and get's mixed with the air in the tent by a fan. This is then forced through the plants and extracted through the bottom. I used an Ikea table, cut to size to install the filter and fan under and have a stable surface to put the plants. This way you use the heat from the lights instead of extracting it to the outside.
Oh, what I did buy to heat up the place is a seedling mat (50x50cm). They do sell 'm in all different sizes. These keeps the roots and soil nice and warm, even if the temperature gets below 12°C / 53°F, the soil temperature still keeps the plants happy and growing...

Yes I love BioTabs !

Atm extraction is off, there's a good circulation of air and I kind of managed to stabilize the temp @ 23°C, RH is 61% and VPD is around 1,08 kPa.
I'm pretty happy with these values, but I know things will change and I'll have to adapt again :)

For some reason the LED lamp doesn't provide enough heat, that's why I set up things like this :

The fan blow some warm air above the plant, giving them a gentle breeze, and the cold vapor is sucked in the tent by a small duct fan.

I understand the set-up you described above, but for now things are working, so... don't run where not chased, or something like this haha !
Cheers bob !

Here are some close-up views of the young plants.
I'd like some advice as about to top or not.
I remind you that the plants were stressed by my fault at the beginning of their life (due to lack of heat), so they lost time...
I know some growers think I should do them soft LST instead of topping, but I'd like to get more thoughts if possible from knowledgeable members :)

I've trouble counting the nodes, each time I confuse the first node with the first set of true leaves...
I also find that the lower young shoots are very small, perhaps the result of stress ?

If they're autos and you feel like they're moving slow then I wouldn't top, I'd LST. That's just me.

I don’t know much admittedly but they don’t seem that small to me. Heres a pic from my last grow of a plant at 23 days old. 4 full nodes with the 5th set just coming up. Seems to look just like yours in the pic above and it turned out awesome. These are hardy plants, just keep giving it love and wait for the magic.
