Snerval's third grow - BioTabs

I don’t see any problems here. They are thinner at the bottom rather than the top because they were stretching for more light. Give them babies more light bro! They are looking good. The base of the stem will continue to thicken. At 20 days they could be a little bigger but overall your growth looks uniform. I’d advise against topping. Give them another few days then start low stress training instead of topping. With LST I get more weight and side branches than I do with topping no matter how successful the topping process is. LST is just less stressful on them if done right. What is the insect on one of your girls? I’d get rid asap.
Thanks for stopping by ^^
I need to put in practice what I think I understand about light, but it's a little too much "technical" to me. Lol!
Will get photone app soon.
However, I should add a little more soil because with successive waterings the surface will settle and sink a little more...
I hear you about LST. I did some on my first 2 plants, not difficult but need practice too.
Indeed I was wondering about topping and the additional stress imposed on the plants... they have already fallen behind at the seedling stage due to being chilly, it would be risky to stress them even more - or not!
The bug is a kind of brown marmorated stink bug - I keep putting them outside lol!
I hate them because as a defense they stink !
But yes according the wiki page they need to be kept away from the plants - didn't know that suck the sap of plants o_O

Majority of bugs either chew on the root system or suck the good stuff out ya plants. Mine been stunted this grow too from fungus gnats which I never get. I believe some may have grown in an old batch of coco I used. The lighting thing just takes experience bro. I use photon app sometimes and it’s pretty good! All in all your plants look good. Everyone does LST different and at different times. I’ve found week three to be the best time to start LST. This way they have some height to them and you don’t make them too short. You don’t have to pull them down too far, just enough to have all branch height roughly even. Let them grow for a bit then release them if you like, that way they will still build a bit of height if u want. I hate when I make my plants too short. I end up with shit tons of buds deep inside the plant bush because I couldn’t spread them out anymore haha. So.. some height is good. Perfect for me

Oh the hate !
I did struggle with them too - I got a lot of good advices here on AFN, tried nematodes but with no success, then BTI helped to get rid of them (Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis, a group of bacteria used as biological control agents for larvae stages... can't remember the actual name of the product).
Now I mix some to my soil before planting, and also some more later during watering, preventive measure !
Thanks for the tips about LST :)

Mosquito dunks or bits. Is the name of the bti i have used. Nematodes work great for me. Need yellow sticky traps to get ride of the adults. nematodes only work on there larvae.

Gnatrol was the one I found here in Europe.
I also use some neem oil as a repellent, plus the mandatory yellow stick as well.

It may be redundant to say but a gentle breeze on the plants will help to strengthen the stems. They may have needed more light when young and for sure more warmth for optimum growth. It is not too late to top them.

Yes I also think that they were too cold at the beginning - next time I'll make sure to heat the place properly.
Isn't there a risk of added stress if topping them after being stunted for awhile ?
