Hello everyone, welcome to my first microgrow!
All comments and advice welcomed and much appreciated.

I will be growing one nirvana auto northern lights.

For my situation it was best for me to buy one of the 32" tall X 16" wide X 13" deep speakergrowboxes from speakergrowbox.com and modify it as needed.
I know its cheaper to build a box but my situation doesnt allow for me to do that under the radar.

I have added
100w blackstar led
I have seen a member here get good results with this light close to plants in a micro grow but i forget the name. edit: found it was @TimeTraveler

In my box its about 20in from light to top of the pot, if this turns out to be an issue i will switch to cfls

2 pc fans for exhaust with a diy carbon filter.
Thanks to @arty zan for the diy carbon filter guide.
2 pc fans for instake that are a little weaker than the exhaust.
3 pc fans for circulation inside the box that are the same as the intake fans.

Im using a half gallon fabric pot with 2 cups of kind soil and a top layer of roots organic.
Once she pops her head out i will add a top layer of sand(let me know your thoughts on the sand plz)

I used a papertowel to germinate.
She showed a taproot about two days later.
I then added her to a rapid rooter plug and into the pot today.

So i can call this day one?

She has come out of the ground!

I took the humidity dome off just for the pic.
You can see where the soil is still wet where the dome is.

My cell phone camera flash was on but i guess it didnt really work right so i turned up the brightness on the photo edit. So the colors are not exactly true.

I will try to make sure i get better pics in the future i just wanted to get this update posted.

I will be misting with distilled water once daily for now. Leaving the humidity dome in place for a few days.

All tips are welcome and appreciated.

@Dudeski here she is! I think i remember you wanted me to tag you in when i started this grow.

Its really hard to tell from the pic but could the white leaf tips be from the led light being too strong?
I think maybe its too early to tell or worry about it but im not sure.

Lights about 20in away.
Lights will come on again in about 2 hrs.
Im running 18/6 light schedule.
Temps are 75-85F
humidity 30-40%
Sorry for shitty cell phone picture. Will be better pics when shes older.

Hey there @Smorf!
Looks like you're off to a great start with this one.

If I may share some thoughts:
I'd keep the 100W light some distance away from the little baby at this point.
Once she's got a set or two of true leaves --- after about 7-14 days -- then bring it closer, slowly.

Your grow space sounds cool for a single plant. Very stealthy indeed!!!
Are you going to top / fim / LST bend her to keep the height really low?
I used to use the shell of a top loader washing machine for my clone / seedling / vege room,
until I moved them into a 4'x4' flowering room.
Happy adventure!

Love and hugs,
Maria

Thanks Maria.
I will be using a little LST.
I dont know if i want to try FIMing on this grow.

I just gave her a light misting of distilled water and it kind of looks like the white leaf tips are going away already.
And looks like she may be stretching up a little more.
I will take some better pictures monday.

That sounds like my kind of washing machine!

I think i have similar prob, i come to conclusion of tip abortion, dont leave water on your babt through the night, mist her as early as possible from lights on then repeat next day nd so on during seedling stage

Edit: Since conditions fluctuate through lights out too much for a wet seedling specially now weathers getting cooler, it wants to be humid not covered completly in dampness

I agree @ZeGermans.
I actually have only been misting the soil, not directly on her. While the lights are on.

Today is day 3.
I have removed the humidity dome and gave her 1oz of distilled water.
Not sure yet when i will give her more water.
I dont want to give her too much or too little.
