OLD REVIEWS Smoke Report: Betty Boo Auto Fem (The Joint Doctor)

Finally some pics below, taken a few days ago. I harvested the one on the left today, it was a branch pheno, first for me with these. Decent yield compared to my last/first BB grow, should be around 20 grams each, around 8 inches tall.

I'm letting the single cola one on the right go a full 56-60 days and want to give it a nice, long cure so I can see what the potential is. Harvesting early still produces a distinct taste/aroma and strong high though. I'm really curious what a proper harvest and cure will turn out. I'm not real crazy about the taste, it's quite prominent and strong, compared to LR's and ER's, which are much smoother/earthier and diverse.

These are by far the stickest, most gooey plants I've ever smoked/held, the resin and pistils they produce are crazy for their size.

Finally these are God send for PC/closet micro growers, could easily grow 4 of these at a time and end up with around an OZ every 47-56 days, with little effort.

They do smell, nothing crazy, a good plug-in Ionizer takes care of that with no problem.

Sorry for the late response. It's hard to judge how my nutes are affecting them - they grow so rapidly and are so short, that it doesn't seem to take much - but I feed them every watering (every 5-7 days) because you lose that 2 weeks other Autos give you. I'm not sure that's necessary though (still experimenting with them).

It's hard to keep them green once they really start flowering btw, they simply require so much rapid nutrition and grow so damn fast that things go bonkers too quickly - but like LR's it doesn't matter, they finish and taste/smoke/yield just fine.

I'm wondering if you might be confusing slow early growth with the fact that they are dwarf plants and don't get taller than 5-8 inches typically, and aren't overly leafy, TONS of pistils (see pics below ). They take-off fast after 2.5 weeks and start throwing out those pistils like crazy.

Yeah, they tolerate nutes well. I have them in 0.4dl micro cups, 1liter and 4liter "buckets". 1 liter works best. They were put under the lights a week later and have the biggest leaves now. Total count 12 this day but I just fed them and 2 seem to develop balls, so 10 girls coming up (they're reqs not fems). They have been healthy all the time and only "mistake" I made was feeding them with plain water for too long. But better safe than sorry :)

I feed them every day. They are in coco hempy and coco stays moist long so I pour the reservoir out from the hole, now they tend to suck it dry though, and inject fresh feed in every day. Some work there but it is relaxing. Last night I doubled the dosage (5ml -> 10ml in 5l) and they survived fine. Next I raise to 15-20ml and see what happens.

Yes, I was worried about the leaf thing. Now they look like they're supposed to and pistils have formed on some. Looking forward the explosion!

Big Betty Boos

Hi folks. omnius, I'm glad yours were small and fast and productive for their size. That's what I wanted for a very low height grow in an aquarium stand. But mine are at day 48 and are 18-28" tall. They look like they'll go at least 80 days. All 3 are nice plants, and they all auto'd by day 21, so I'm not complaining, even though they are different than the description. I respect JD, and the first auto I grew was a LR1 about 10 years ago. The Betty Boo's are all the same pheno, with all branches growing straight up almost as tall as the top. I usually trim the bottom few branches, but not on these. I'm growing Sweet Tooth (Barney's), Starryder (DP) and Transsiberian (Auto Seeds), which are closer to what I expected. I guess it's a reminder that these strains, even if bred for several generations, are unstable. You pays your dollar and you takes your chances. :toke: Peace and good growing to all. Futt

I harvested 6/8 today. Day 66 and between 13.5 oz to 1 gallon containers the height was 13 to 16 inches. Could be 'cause I used total of 170w CFLs, 120w during the veg. Out of 8 Bettys only one fits my idea/the advertised description of Betty Boo. She's the shortest of all but has the most thick cola. Other I left standing is the biggest, bush, of the girls and produces the most bud, fitting the least to a description of Betty. Again, my seeds are bred by private person who described a pheno like Futt Dupp above so actually I got what I bargained for :D

And they are coated in sweet sugar! From the strains I've seen live White Widow resembles BB in amount of resin.

omnious, thx for your info on the tall pheno. did your friend say how the smoke turned out?

It was a seed dealer not a friend. And he didn't say nor did I ask. But the smoke is potent. I just inhaled harvested trich leaf and I'm spaced out. Watch out for my smoke report next week when they are dry ;)

Hey, found this smoke report and it is the only one , not a lot of information about this Betty Boo strain and only a couple of grows here and there, but tnx for this! Cheers!
