Grow Room Smart Hygrometer Recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations for smart home / smart device humidity sensors?

I tried a Sonoff SNZB-02, but its humidity reading was way off - like 10% higher than any other hygrometer I had.

I was thinking of trying a Govee brand hygrometer, since it has data-logging. But, it's about twice the price of the Sonoff, and I'd ultimately want to get two or three.

Anyone have any other brands they like?

[Edit: I'm not asking about humidity controllers, VPD controllers, or tent/grow space ventilation. I'm asking about remote hygrometers for smart home networks and other grow-related uses.]

the average smart hygrometer sensor (sends high/low alerts to your phone) cant do much compared to an inkbird controller £28.
tapo/tp-link make smart hygros. They also make smart/home wifi cameras for £20. So could get a cam,have a ganzie at your plants,and read what the inkbird says at the same time ?

IoT (Internet of Things) / Google Home / Amazon Alexa type. I've got an inkbird controller for my tent ventilation, but looking for some additional wifi / smart-phone type hygrometers for other general uses and data recording.

Mainly looking for:
1) Wifi connectivity (not just bluetooth)
2) Data-logging and export
3) Reasonably accurate (i.e., within a typical +/- 3% RH range for hygrometers...not +10-15% like the first one I tried)
4) Zigbee protocol for smart device networks preferred
 
I can sell you my Govee that is dead and the wifi never worked right or just spend the money and get a Pulse.
Pulse always works perfectly it is a real pro tool and not some off-brand piece of crap. I can be at work and check what is happening. Plus you get the VDP which is the most important thing in my opinion. I do like the Inkbird controller as well. Just remember both need to be in with the plants not hanging on the wall for your most accurate reading

How much difference does it make to keep your VPD in check? And how easy is it to do? For me a dehumidifier is out of the question and the only control I could have would be to add the pulse control and set it up to control a few AC infinity fan cloudlines. My lung room runs at about 23 degrees celcius and 40-60 RH.

its a fair investment to upgrade everything and target vpd so just wondering how much difference did you see that it made in your grows?

Pulse does not control anything.
you need a separate controller like the ink bird. You can buy a whole room controller that will control everything. I used to have a nonsmart one about 2o years ago, they were popular. I am out of touch with them now but they seem like they are geared for the pro setup. Vdp makes a difference and it has more to do with not enough humidity for most growers especially in a hotter environment. You can look it up on a chart but much faster to look at your seems to make a difference in Veg growth and how happy the plants are.

It makes all the difference in the world from seed/clone to harvest. It helps mitigate mold and optimize growth for improved quality and yield.


That will show you the ranges but from seed to flower there is only a 15% difference in humidity. Having the right temp and humidity allows the plant to transpire properly, uptake the correct nutrients which helps prevent deficiencies and makes the plants overall stronger to resist pest/pathogens.

My lung room runs at 78-84f with 55-60% rh so my tent climates run fairly close to those. If I pack my tent densely, RH will be a bit higher but I can adjust the humidifier. Once I started following VPD I saw pounds from autos and photos, definitely worth the investment. I actually run my humidifier for the lung room so negative pressure from my exhaust brings in the correct humidity rather than me fighting with a small one inside the tents that is constantly being exhausted.

I deffinetly need to look into it. I think AC infinity make fans that can regulate the tents humidity. I might need to upgrade my intakes to 8 Inch too if I want to keep vpd in range

They really only regulate temperature but display both parameters - I'm a distributor for them. What size tent are you in?
