Mephisto Genetics Skywalker Outdoor 2020

Day 18 - Today was probably peak heat for the month at a high of 93F. I’m starting LST at different times as an experiment - so far so good. I feel like some of the plants are a bit behind what I see others are doing, but if they are accurate then the next ten days should see explosive growth.

Day 19 - When I see autoflower posts of “Day 60” and there’s huge buds, they’re counting days from seed right? I haven’t involved myself much with online grows before this, just checking to be sure.

No problems in the garden today. Just hot.

I believe most count day 1 as the day she pops the surface. I use to germ mine in the dark in cups, so I didn't count day 1 until they seen there first day of light. Btw, your plants are looking great! :greenthumb: :pass:

Hey thanks. Every once in a while somebody posts a plant that’s “Day 33” or something with full on buds and it just makes me question my own auto growing skills.

Day 20 - Today is the first day I’ve noticed any issues. There’s some mild yellow discoloring starting on fan leaves of multiple plants. Also LST #1 has some brittleness and more aggressive spotting. As always I’m here for advice.

Day 21 - I wasn’t expecting the inch and a half of rain we got overnight and this morning, and the babies got drenched. Steady growth on all six. A little smaller than average at the moment in my opinion, but the only thing that matters is the end result.

Day 22 - I moved two of the girls inside to the tent for some side by side comparisons. It dawned on me that outdoor autos are getting 15-16 hours of light versus 24 inside. I’m not super impressed with the growth on these yet so why not.

Day 23 - These Skywalkers can be split into a few categories: indoor vs outdoor and LST vs straight up So far the straight ups are happier than the LSTs, and the outdoors and happier than the indoors. It’s a sure sign that less stress is the best. The plants I took indoors on day 20 are pissed to be under a 600W light @24 hours. I think I started LST 4-5 days early which slowed early growth. Fortunately I’m finally seeing some results from the bending, but it was a growth setback for sure.

Day 25 - You can see the difference between the tall girl and the stunted LST dwarves. I’ve read enough auto threads to understand what mistakes I made early on with these. I’ll still enjoy whatever they produce at the end of the summer, even if I don’t get the perfect crop. Whatever that is.

The secondary branches on the LSTs are starting to shoot up, so that’s good.
