Well Andy that makes me feel better. Ill have to check my pics, im pretty ignorant so im not sure what to look for. The small fish theory is what I've been going on. With what I have going on, locally is the same severity as underage drinking.

Aside from growing being a rewarding hobby, for me the real motivation is to save money and always have a good supply. I'm a pretty broke guy. Even a slap on the wrists would hurt a lot.

One thing to be careful of is posting pics direct from your smartphone. Some phones embed the location right into the photo properties so anyone can plug it into Google Maps. There is usually some sort of location feature that can be turned off. Or you can use software like Pixelgarde: http://pixelgarde.com

Other than that it's just a matter of watching out for what you have in the background of your photos. I'm also a small scale grower so hopefully no LEO is going to go to the effort to track down me and my little grow. But ultimately everyone has to go with their gut and not take chances that make them uncomfortable.

I've been on a bunch of forums but most of my posting has been on 3. The old Cannabis Headquarters, TMF and here. All totaled, I've racked up over 8,000 posts. I've always subscribed to the small fish/big pond way of thinking. LEO has much better things to do than worry about me, my posts, or my small grows. I always make sure my pictures don't have anything that could pin point my location. I also edit all of my pictures before posting. Pictures contain meta data that includes time, date, type of camera, etc. The software I use, ACDSee, removes all meta data as soon as a photo is edited. Other than that, it's just common sense. Don't use your real name, don't get too specific with personal details or give specific information about where you live. I'm sure if someone wanted to sit down and comb through all the posts I've made they could get a general idea about who I am and where I live, but I've never given anyone a reason to go through all the time and effort it would take.

I should probably be more concerned with my 3 month old speeding ticket. Well thanks. You get stoned then you start thinking next thing you know you're imagining a chain of events that all started by posting some pics on a web site. And everybody says "what idiot would post growing weed publicly"

As long as you don't give your personal data out, and be carefull what you show in pics, you are ok. All the data/info on this site is stored in amsterdam. If they go out of their way to get your info from us by some illegal means. You must be a pretty big fish!

If you leave your computer logged into AFN and they kick in your door. Authorities in the US are liable to use it against you I am sure.. I have been posting grows online for 6 years in all.. I feel safer sharing it here than to people i know who grow.

I assume LEO is watching everything i post. So don't post anything that would lead them to you. Or anything that would make them want to find you.

Gotcha... Thanks Sniper and Moe! Ah... The pigs round here are too lazy on their cell phones driving around or screwing whores in the Fire House. A bunch of them were fired last year (firemen and police) for screwing whores in the fire house while on duty. I shouldn't have to worry about the local officials then!
