If he is feeding 6.2 in a medium that's the same as a soil would the low ph lockout ca-mg? If so would it be a good ideal to throw more nutes if it's built up in medium from lockout?-- this is major Ca defc., looks like it's been going on for a while now,... Look at the pics in the Defc. Pic Depot here, the sticky thread section above this, and check out the pics for Ca defc.,... get Ca-Mg going ASAP...
Are you sure you can measure PH in soil like that?so I did a ph test of the soil it tested at 5.5 so my other pen was messing me up but im pretyy new still thanks boyz for the help
I do my soil test by saturating medium until slight run off, also always water slowly and in increments. Never dump water until run off best to wet it wait 2 mins then repeat until run off.Are you sure you can measure PH in soil like that?
I don't think it is a very exact way to do it. Some nutes are leached into the water more than other, P for example. Idk cause I don't measure PH in soil cause I don't believe it work like that.

This method works well for ppms if done slowly.. But it is wildly inaccurate for the soil ph. They make soil ph probes to accurately check the soil ph. Slurry test ph and runoff ph are last resorts. Also to test how accurate It was I had a plant awhile ago that was having troubles, done my test with first run off without waiting. Came out 5.5 and 700 range ppm, when tested after 30 minutes wait it came back over 2000ppm, I flushed by repeating my water until run off until ppm were down around 800. But everytime I tested at the 30 minutes it was showing a ppm drop and raised ph from using straight tap for a few of the flushes. When I reached my 6.5 goal I used ro water to continue with the flush.
