New Grower Should we use the MH bulb or the HPS bulb?

Are you positive it was a cal-mag issue at only 2 weeks? Also, auto's don't like to be transplanted. A 4x4 cup is WAY to small for a month old auto if you want a big plant. Try getting them into bigger pots right away. The small size of your pot had a lot to do with the small size of the plant I'm sure. I've worked a bit with coco, and coco will produce fast if all is right. People use all different size pots, but I wouldn't go with anything smaller than 2-3 gallons for a decent sized plant and good yield. I personally use 5-7 gallon pots when I grow in soil. The difference is big.

Yes we were having an issue with burned tips within the first two weeks & couldn't figure out what the hell the issue was. They are all Auto-Pounders & it was affecting all of them so we new something was off. When I went into my LGS to get some Superthrive hoping it would help turn them around the guy there asked me if I had purple stems & I remembered I did & he said since it was burned tips & purple stems it was a cal-mag issue.

I bought the cal-mag then & also Superthrive & a couple of other nutes & sure enough they all came back to life & are now looking great even though they're 4-12" tall & already starting to flower.

I'm sure the ST helped but it seems it was a cal-mag issue. This is only my second time growing mind you so i'm still very very new so I wasn't able to catch the cal-mag issue fast enough to not stunt their growth, but we're just happy we didn't lose any of them. Worse case scenario we just run them a while longer than normal, I just hope they can get big enough & bud up enough to make it worth the time & effort.

I agree, get them into some bigger pots. I start mine in 1/2 gallon juice containers and transplant into 3 gallon pots after they sex. It's not so much that autos don't like to be transplanted, it's more people don't know how to transplant. Within 24 hours of transplanting mine are back to normal growth.

You should still get some vertical growth out of your plants. Autos grow the fastest between weeks 3 - 6, often as much as an inch a day. More info here: https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html

We planned on transplanting them 2 weeks ago but honestly they were almost dead so there was really no point. We have 2.4g airpots & some smartpots to transfer them into tomorrow. We are waiting for our new trays to arrive tomorrow, they should have been here last week.

I read that link, it's a good breakdown that gives us some hope. We are rocking heavy veg nutes & the MH for the last couple of days so hopefully with this continued schedule for another 14 days or so we will get some good height before switching to flower nutes.

The CNS17 has Grow, Bloom & Ripe, do I even want to bother with the bloom? Maybe start using it in conjunction with the Grow in about a week or 10 days?

Just keep an eye on the vertical grow and switch to the bloom when it stops. The Ripe sounds like it might be a bud enhancer and they are usually only given for a couple weeks in late bloom. What does the mfg. recommend for it?
