Grow Mediums Should i flush after using Canna nutes?

Hi peoples are jump in here if I may. How do you judge when to start flushing, I’m in my first grow and I will be flushing if I get that far lol, but don’t want to start it too early or too late, I know the stages of a plant but wouldn’t know the timeline of my strain and seems a bit behind where it should be anyway. Do you guys pick a set week to start flushing ?

@TonySoparno:welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome: and Now for opinion #xxx

Fertigating coco to 20% run-off you are flushing all of the time. I feed right up to the day before harvest. The last week or two you should add a little molasses (or Bud Candy if you have it) to the mix. I don't do a final flush. I grow in rock wool.
Hey thanks very much for the warm welcome and input:cheers: So as long as im aiming for 20% run off each watering its cool to feed up untill harvest? Does it affect the taste for you or not at all? Thanks i actually did grab some molasses so i will definitely throw that in, is there a certain amount to mix in? Thanks again!

@TonySoparno The things that effect flavor are first genetics, then the light spectrum, proper drying and a proper cure.

My terpene profile (flavor and aroma) improved vastly when I added UVA light to my grow. The Grove Bags came along and really improved my cure. I live in a desert and drying is almost always a problem because the air here can be so dry (zero RH on some days). If I miss checking them for half a day they can get crispy. Thank goodness for Boost. If I have to use the Boost my flavor suffers. Harvesting is hectic for me.

To answer your question No, nutrients fed right up to harvest do not effect the flavor enough to quantify. I stopped flushing years ago.

I was considering getting the uva version when i bought my kingbrite 320w QB but was told it would drastically shorten the lifespan of the light so it scared me away, how true that is though im not sure? Kinda wish i had now after hearing that haha.

Its reassuring as hell to hear this though, thank you for your info its really appreciated man.

If you are in the USA you can easily add UVA and UVB With AgroMax I use the UVA Plus 10,000k the last 3 - 4 weeks - 4 hours a day and the Pure UV the last 2 weeks for 1 hour a day.
