Grow Mediums Should I Be Concerned

Can I add H2O2 3% at 5ml (one tsp) per gallon to my resevoir as a preventative measure now? About 1/2 way through my last dwc grow I noicted a light tan colored slime in the bottom of the reservoir and starting to cover the roots. I thought it was just discoloration from the nutes (the brown liquid of ff big bloom) After doing some research i think it was the cyanobacteria or brown slime algae

It was one kinda like this with the duel out That i picked up on the clearance rack at w-mart the air stone is just a inexpensive one from w-mart. I got the duel to try and run 2 coffee cans but the bubbles were weak.
