Thanks Nelson, I forgot about the smell. I've had some HBDs that smell of blueberries, others that stank of diesel. Either way proper ventilation is needed.

Nelson,

Sounds good... i figured with the diesel the smell during flowering would be much more powerful... i plan on using a 4 inch 200 cfm carbon filter being pulled thru from my 190 cfm 4 in inline fan... im hoping it does the trick... thats one thing i am afraid of... a very stinky strain overpowering the carbon filter... i CANNOT have ANY smell coming from my grow tent... as much as i want to try the BHD i might be leaning the other way just based on that... the other strain i will be growing is mossy's purple jem so im trying to keep smells away for this grow...

A 4" fan and carbon filter will take care of it. I grew Diesel Ryder, the absolutely most smelly strain, and my 4" filter had no problem keeping it under control. Even though HBD has diesel in it, it doesn't smell hear as bad as the DR.

Muddy,

Awesome that yield was about even... how tall did your plants finish... i think im starting to lean toward Blue Himalaya just cause i dont want to worry about smell and i would be chasing a blueberry pheno and i think i would have a better chance with the Blue Himalaya. I dont want to have to run into smell issues until i have my bigger set up running in the winter.

i've smoked both but only grown bh. i agree with the other taste testers - the HBD was definitely the better buzz but the BH had a milder flavor

Muddy,

Thats good to know... hmm i guess with every single person coming on here saying that BHD is the way to go you guys are really starting to sway me.

BHD is the way to go! But really it is.

I'm a legal grower up here in Canada. The smell doesn't bother me and my grow room is under my music room. When people come over to jam they sometimes ask if I am burning insence. they say it smells really nice in the music room. Gee if I only had some Diesel Ryder, Skunk 1 or Dairy Queen going they would really be impressed. I have no experience with carbon filters I just let em stink.

Nelson,

I'm jealous music room and bud room im lacking on both haha! what is your instrument of calling? mines guitar... fender guy 60/70s rock and any/everything resembling the blues.

I'm a sound man and bass player. Lately I have been suffering from arthritis in my left hand so playing guitar and bass are difficult. Luckily my music room has a Hammiond organ and Leslie so I have become a bit of a one handed organ player. The Hammond just really sounds good so I chrp away on it. Love those organ rock groups and love to play the blues, funk, R&B and some Jimmy Smith jazz stuff. I'm not the greatest keyboard player but a can get great sound out of the Hammond and every body likes listening to it. We had a jam last weekend with drums, guitar, bass, organ, singers and a sax player. What a nice old rock sound that combination makes. We did some Doors, Clinton, Smith, Stones, Beatles and even Sly. We rocked.
