Old Reviews Setting up 4x4 tent, ventilation for 600W LEDs

The tent manufacturer recommends at least 100cfm for 600w of LED in that tent.

It's a one room building, so kinda tough. Do not really want to customize the window atm. Anyway, i will try it that way, hopefully it will be ok, otherwise i might add an inlet fan..
Can you open the window by sliding the bottom part up?
You could use the same window adapter that the portable a/c units use to exhaust the hot air. Kinda like this one.

Ok.
Don't take this wrong. It's just simple thermodynamics. Heat rises. You want to take suction from the top to exhaust the hot air. You want to bring in fresh air from the bottom. The room air will be the coolest and with the exhaust taking suction from the top, you promote removing het in the most effective and efficient manner . Hopefully your tent has inlet flaps at the bottom of the tent.

Be aware that blowing the exhaust out the window can create negative air pressure in your office/home. Your dryer creates negative pressure but only for a short time. A 100cfm fan would displace 144,000 cubic ft of air per day. That is 12 complete air exchanges of a 1500 sq ft home with 8 ft ceilings.

Well, that's true! Fresh air for both him and his girls!
I guess he could just exhaust to the room and have the a/c cool the room air. Change only where the the exhaust fan exhaust to.

This tent has a cutting set that allows you to cut the ducts exactly where you want them, of course the outlet duct will be on the top and the inlet duct in the bottom, I was paying attention in the physics class in high school :)
Unfortunately the windows are not sliding windows, so the plan is to ventilate into the room and the ac unit will cool the air. Its a fairly big room and the AC unit is strong, so I do not expect temperature issues.

You're good to go then!

My secret jardin tent is in my basement and just pumps the air back into the basement. I have central air and there's a duct above the tent. My peak temps are high 70's. I ended up having to cut 2 intakes because the fan was squeezing the tent so much. You probably won't have that issue because mine is only 2x4 not 4x4
