Semi-Stealth Micro Grow - "Casper"

This is super confusing for me, as a lot of autos will have multiple nodes by this point. Could have just been stunted by poor lighting.

could be, but either way, the first couple weekz, all the work is goin on underground ;) jus don't overwater :nono: uzin the tipz of leavez at widest point as a judge, water in a ring, away from stem, so the rootz are forced to seek out the water on their own, and thus, grow :smokeit: jus flip over a plastic cup to make a slight "moat" to give water in, 1-2 oz a day uzually  ppp

Update for anyone hanging around:

- I've bought a RAM hobby 100mm x 200mm carbon filter + inline fan (the single speed one, 199cfm) + ducting + fan speed controller
- Up-cycled some old egg foam into a duct silencer (still to decide if it will even be necessary, or enough)
- Smell gel stuff
- More, better fans
- Ordered 1m x 2m Mylar Reflective Sheeting, because after a night of research it sounds like tin foil was a BAD idea! (and it's noisy as fuck, sets my anxiety off, not to mention it's electrically conductive and I wanna chuck in custom electronics)

Been monitoring temps inside the box manually using a thermocouple till I've setup my logger stuff (parts on way) and they seem to peak around 27C (LED heatsink at ~45). Can't speak for humidity but it feels horrible inside there! RH outside the tent is floating between 40-55%, depending on if it is raining or not outside.

Pics are the old and new fans I got off my parents (they think I'm getting hot in this weather..... :smoking: ).
They seem to push a considerable amount of air even at 5v - so I think I will:
- Set one at 5v as internal airflow (I've learnt not to point it directly at the plant)
- Set two as variable speed (5v-12v), as intake fans - once I've fitted the filter/duct and gotten baked enough to figure out a light proof vent

Sadly until I've setup some kind of airflow internally I'm not leaving the lights on long enough - if I manage to wake early it gets ~12 hours light. Looking forward to seeing the postie this week.....

Happy growing everyone!

i'd put 2 of the 120mm pc fanz up top for exhaust, one on each side, or mebbe each end, whichever ;) ppp

was gunna do that but then I ordered the fan kit - don't wanna cut too many holes at once!
Gunna go with your advice and put intake at bottom, but in one go when I fit the kit.

CON DAY 15
ooookay so the inline fan kit doesn't look like it's ever going to arrive...think the company collapsed because quarantine :( glad I bought using my credit cards, so I'll have to get the money back somehow.

In the meantime I've bought another fan filter kit - hope that arrives soon because growth is really accelerating on the mystery seedling, and it needs some airflow!
It's starting to not look like a mystery anymore :crying:

DAY 15

(pardon the bad phone pic - you'd think £700 would get you a decent phone...)

ok ok, if me haven't said it already -> that'z def canna, no mystery about it :coffee: ppp

@420Forever I don't think you've said it enough mate!! :smoking:

Just in total disbelief, cos they were from a wildflower pack with seeds the size of orange seeds. I've only ever seen canna bagseed, never the plant.

Hope it'll grow good, cos I wanted to pop one of my autos first!

BTW bloody loving following your grow train thread, heaps and heaps of knowledge in there.

...uh, yeah, heapz o' knowledge about how to be the laziest grower on site u mean  :rolleyes2: but thx all the same  ppp

CON DAY 21
Happy Tuesday everyone! (It is Tuesday, right?)

Not a lotta progress for the actual growbox construction. Been messaging the seller of my filter kit every day now to no response. I will give them till Friday till I forcefully take the money back!
Have been working on the control box instead - it'll have camera so I can spend all day watching them grow, and some additional hardware for sensor logging and intake fan control.

Mystery seedling is doing great, by the looks of things - please see the photos for more. I can see what looks like where the preflower portions of the plant will be growing which was very interesting to see. Also, the final picture is of what looks like root nodes coming out of the stem, very close to the bottom. Think it's asking me for a bigger pot!!

Really hoping this one turns out to be a male - at least then, I can harvest some pollen and fertilise some of my first grows for unlimited seeds!

Place yer bets - male or female?
