Here is my day 18 lady.

In all honesty, she got a little overwatered, which has slowed her down. I had another that was a helmet head, between that and a little overwatering, and I decided to replace her....

Better luck with this girl. :headbang: :pass:

Day 17: Looking good but have an issue starting. It's my first coco grow so definitely expecting some new challenges. I'm using distilled water so I can control the nutrients better. I think I'm looking at a calcium deficiency? Popped up overnight. Looks like gray discoloration and spots which I suspect will be brown tomorrow. Should I add Cal Mag or is there a better Ca supplement to look after? I could always bump the starting water to 75ppm with cal/mag then add the other stuff.

Couple pics - the first one I was a bit shaky but didn't notice until I uploaded and was able to zoom in.

It's Ca or Phosphorus...... I think.

I think epsom salt gets mentioned here and there but ive personally never used it. I read that canna can be a bit extra Ca/Mg hungry in coco. I used a bit of CaliMagic during my last batch of water. The plant is responding well but i dont know is that was the Ca boost or me being better about watering. I didnt add any to my recent water and i feel like i see a difference. Ill have to go without one more water cycle and add some to the feed after to see.

Epsom salt is magnesium, not calcium.

Ah, thank you for the clarification. Ive been meaning to read up on it a bit more. It would be nice to have more natural amendments in the toolbelt.

Day 21.
I think I have chosen my contender  I will put a sticker on her later today.
Happy, hungry lady currently at 450PPM, and may be upped tomorrow starting week 4.
Every morning I check to see if her coco is dry and if she needs to be fed at night also.
Not yet it seems...but I will keep my eye on it.
