Seeds not popping after 8 days ???

High Again Everyone !!!,
Well not sure why these seeds aren't popping after 8 days. On 3-3 I started 6 seeds with the wet paper towel & baggie method. 3 seeds popped in 3-4 days like they should. The other 3 (2-Dutch Passion & 1-Heavyweight) aren't showing any signs they're going to pop. The Heavyweight I kind of expected not to do anything as I had 6 Heavyweight seeds & so far none have popped. I'll never buy Heavyweight again. The Dutch Passion I don't understand not popping as I've already grown them from the same batch of seeds. Considering it's been 8 days already I'm thinking they are just bad seeds. Am I correct & should I give up on those 3 or is there something else I should try ?
I already started 3 more seeds to replace them but if there's something else to try I sure will give it a shot. What's your thoughts ???

With regards to my light leaks comment earlier I meant the taproot this should never be exposed to the light or anything from what I've learnt.

That said I dropped 4 beans in pellets 36 hours ago and nothing yet [emoji85] so your not alone.

My seeds always take 3 - 5 days before they pop & show their tails. I would think 36 hours wouldn't be long enough yet; but I've never done pellets.

This is exactly how mine are...3-5 days....until this last round. I soaked 2 White Chems for 24 hours and then into Root Riots. After 3 days, one sprouted. After 7 days, I dug the other oit and it looked brand new. I pulled it out and soaked it for 18 hours and into Root Riot. After 5 days...I dug around and still nothing. I threw it in water for 24 hours and then gave it a very light squeeze with tweezers and then into Root Riot for LAST time...lol. Well, low and behold, today it sprouted....UPSIDE DOWN! Haha. I got it flipped over so we will see if it survives! Lol.

I put my baggies on a heating pad yesterday. Haven't checked them today yet. If nothing I will put them in a glass of water on top the heat pad & see if anything happens.1 of my 8 plants is not the Auto it's suppose to be. Not sure if seed bank sent wrong seeds or if it just got mixed in with their other seeds or what. It's a seed stockers Big Bud. Great looking plant that is suppose to finish in 75 days. 75 days is tomorrow & not a single white hair...LOL. Nice, Green, Bushy plant so I just did a defol & topped in 7 places last night. May as well let her grow till the other 7 Auto's are done.
Any chance you know of any seed banks that sell single seeds & take credit card? A buddy & I go 1/2 on seeds & we like to buy several strains at a time but only 4 of each seed & then we split them.

I was having problems getting my seeds to pop, I did the whole shot glass and paper towel method, but also put them on a hot water bottle. Tap root showed up in 24-36 hrs

I had some taking 3 weeks onces, hold on , sometimes they take longer, ....

Try the sand paper trick , put sand paper in a small box and put the seeds in and shake a little....it's scratching it and germinate easier...

Hmmm, Never heard that one before. Next time I have an issue I'll try that. But the seeds I was having trouble with I misplaced & have no idea where I put them. Searched & searched. I had gave up on them so who knows where they are. Just got a Fresh Batch of Auto-Flower seeds though .... Bought: AK 47 x 6 Shooter / Haze XL / Northern Lights / AK 47 / Critical 2.0 / Northern Lights x Critical 2.0 . Someone in Nevada starting a seed co. called Magical Beanz. Ordered 20 seeds & Got 33 seeds for $45. Figured I'd give it a shot .... never know.

Yeah , some seeds have thicker shells , that just won't come off, it helps, and also old seeds that are catching too much humidity overtimes, while preserving them,, can sometimes take quite a while to germinate...I like to put them in a small cup in plain tap water for 12hrs then paper towels/ home made dome sitting on the pad until ready...then it's either the cube or the soil....and I use B Roots along with a little fresh water silica,...works great for roots at the start.
